Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but consider.... I've used one for 25 years on 6x9cm and have been delighted BUT as I get older my eyes need more help, so I will be moving to 7-8x loupe imminently. Be aware the proper way to use a loupe is to focus on the grain of your screen -as this is where the image is located- you should then lock the eyepiece at that setting. Normal use then is obviously to maximise the sharpness of the image. Beware that if you don't do this your eyes will be tempted to focus on the image when it is inadequately focused, the blurring of the grain may well fool you to think that setting is optimum. Good luck Bill

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful I primarily bought this loupe for focusing my 4x5 Cambo CSX view camera. I really enjoy that it's easy to use, and easy to clean. It comes with a cap, and it also comes with both clear and black tube so you can either use it in conjunction with or without a light board. I didn't like the fact that it comes with a dinky little string to go around your neck, but the string is too long. I had to tie a few knots in it, so it doesn't feel like it's around my waist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wista has Quality Product ! I have owned a Wista 45 DX field camera for over 20 years and always used an 8x el-cheap-O loupe. Using the Wista focusing loupe is so much more easier. I put off buying a good quality loupe for years & now I wish I had bought one a long time ago. I also like the features of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good loupe for Large format camera Very nice loupe for a good vision on the groundglass for large format camera. No distortion at the corners of the loupe. I am very satisfied of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sharp and compact groundglass viewing loupe. This loupe is much better than the Toyo loupe. It is small and sharp and easy to use. I don't believe the plastic base will scratch groundglass or fresnels, but one could always add a bit of rubber to the base. It needs a case, but I adapted a microfiber pouch for that use. But Wista should provide one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for ground glass 5x is perfect for the ground glass. 8x or 10x is just too much in my opinion and if you can focus with a 5x then you have a lens problem, either the lens in the camera or the lenses in your head (eyes). ? Quality is good , not a cheaply built item. i shot 8x10 and 11x14.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again and again It 's a great product because of good optical quality and light. I use it to control the set-kelp on the ground glass of my 4x5 large format

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good loupe for the money I use this loupe to help me focus on the ground glass of my 4x5 camera. It is really a very good 5x loupe and is ok as focusing loupe goes. It has an opaque base for checking focusing (and examining transparencies for exemple) that unscrews and accepts an included clear base to view prints and other opaque objects. You can adjust the diopter to fit your vision with or without glasses. The long cord keeps the loupe ready around your neck when you work with your large format camera. I am sure that many photographers are happy with it. Personally I think that more length and width would make viewing the ground glass more comfortable (the loupe is only 2+1/2 inches long). The 1 inch field of view is just adequate. The thick plastic build denotes a pretty good quality and the optics are very good. I researched many other possibilities before settling to what I knew was a professional but middle of the road kind of item. It does the job but I am sure there are better solutions out there if one wants to spend the money. And I will have to eventually (for ground glass focusing). This 5X loupe can be used for many things besides photography.
