HI, I recently purchased a 3 pack of the 1005BAC and am now looking to purchase a background stand set. Will the 1005BAC work as a background stand if I buy a pole to hold the backdrop or are there specific Manfrotto stands designed for the background? Thanks!
Asked by: Johnny
The Alu Ranker stand can certainly be used if you want but there are plenty of Westcott stands that would do a better job. Then these stands could be used for audio or lighting stands.

The description says it will safely support the 22lb payload at minimum height, but what is the max payload it will safely support at max height?
Asked by: Matthew
I have a bunch of these and use them for everything including heavy lights, backgrounds and bars holding cameras that point downward for training videos. I have never had one show any sign of overload, so consider there is no de-rating with height. Pete
