has anyone tried to use this to carry a tripod and camera and if so did it work well?
Asked by: Daniel
Yes, we have used it with a camera on one side and the tripod on the other side. It worked pretty well, you still have a bunch of stuff hanging on you but it's okay.

Are the connectors (uni-loop) on this harness ...

Are the connectors (uni-loop) on this harness better than the 3/8" cord version? I have a Canon 6D and thinking of getting a 7D body. Wondering if there is some advantage to these?
Asked by: Susan
Both versions of the Dual Harness are a comfortable and versatile way to carry two cameras or binoculars. They each have a recommended load of up to 15 lbs. per side. The Dual Harness™ - 3/8" incorporates the 3/8" webbing connectors that are compatible with many other OP/TECH USA neck straps. As a result, you can quickly change from one system to another. This version also enables you to carry two cameras on the sides or only one camera on either side or one in the middle. It’s very versatile and easy to configure. The two connectors that are attached to your camera can be connected to each other to form a small hand strap if needed. The Dual Harness™ - Uni-Loop includes the popular Uni-Loop connectors for those photographers wanting a short connector on their camera. This connector makes it possible to move your gear to other OP/TECH USA slings, wrist straps and harnesses with Uni Loop Connectors in just a few seconds.

question

Will this item come with everything I need to just take it out of the box and attach my two cameras? If yes and I only want to use one camera, can I attach a bag to the other side? If I require other pieces please recommend. Thanks!
Asked by: Daniel S.
This item comes with everything you will need, and depending on how your bag hooks up, you may be able to attach a bag (although I wouldn't recommend for weight distribution reasons). The harness is fairly loose and gear does swing quite a bit, which caused a lot of soreness the day after using. I used once and haven't used again since.

question

This harness is great when I want to carry two cameras, but not when I only want to carry one. Is there an accessory strap for when I only want to carry one camera? I would love a wrist strap or any strap for that matter that attaches to the straps on my camera. I hate having to attach and remove the straps from the camera.

I solved this problem by purchasing the following three OP/TECH USA items:-System Connctors, Uni Adapter Loop (B&H# OPSCUAL Mfr# 1301012)-Classic Strap (B&H# OPSCB Mfr# 1001252)-System Connectors (Uni Loop) (B&H# OPSCUNL Mfr# 1301062)I supplemented the security of the system by the use of two sets of OP/TECH USA's System Connctors, Secure-Its (B&H# OPSCSI Mfr# 1301042)With these items, you install the Uni Loops on each of the cameras once. Then you can switch between single strap or double harness just by using the quick-connects. The Secure-Its ensure that the quick-connects don't become quick disconnects!I hope this helps.

question

Interested to know if anyone has used the Black Rapid dual harness and this one from OP/TECH, how do they compare?I've been using the Black Rapid harness for a few years now but it drives me a bit crazy how boh cameras just swing around like a pendulum! Wondering if the OP/TECH is a bit more stable.Cheers.
Asked by: Andrew
If you're not standing stillI you'll have the same pendulum effect.
