Shure ULX2 Overview

The Shure ULX2/BETA87A is a handheld wireless microphone transmitter compatible with the ULXS4 and ULXP4 wireless receivers. Lightweight and easy to use, it runs for up to 8 hours on a single 9V battery, with a fixed 20mW RF power output and a transmission range up to 300'.

The unit operates on a 36 MHz UHF tuning range with 1440 selectable frequencies. Frequency selection is entered manually on the unit's menu controls, while a backlit LCD shows essential information. Power and frequency settings can be locked out to avoid accidents. 25 dB of adjustable gain allows the mic to accommodate a wide variety of speaking and singing styles. 

The ULX2/BETA87A comes equipped with the Beta 87A supercardioid condenser capsule designed to withstand extreme sound pressure levels, while still delivering a remarkably smooth frequency response for vocal performers and presenters. The capsule features a supercardioid polar pattern that offers excellent rejection of off-axis background noise, helping to reduce feedback. The interchangeable capsule design allows you to replace the Beta 87A capsule with a Shure capsule that's ideal for your application and simply screw it onto the transmitter—including the SM86, SM58, Beta 87C capsules, and more.
