16GB CompactFlash Memory Card Extreme 400x UDMA is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 1127.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pricy but worth it! The positive: It reads/ writes very fast.(That is also based on your camera as well) I use canon products and this card works the best out of any other brand. (Whether it be still or video) I shoot a lot of events, of course on RAW, and I don't have to change my card until the very end with the 16GB. I use a Mark II and get 700ish images on RAW or three minutes per GB for video. The Negative: It cost way too much money! But that is the price for being a photographer. Conclusion: If your a professional or a semi-professional definitely use this card! If you're an amateur, Don't spend the money until you establish what you want to do with photography.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plenty of Captures Shot NCAA, DIII Football two days ago under harsh conditions; rain/sleet (entire game), snow on field, 38 (F), 15 mph winds. Used the 16GB Extreme CompactFlash Memory Card (SanDisk) with the 1DMkIII & f/2.8, 300mm (main camera), AL SERVO (H). Under normal conditions, I seldom shoot bursts in excess of 2-3, but because of the cold on my icy fingers, it was difficult to shoot bursts of less than 3-5. In several instances (decisive plays) shot a few series of 8-14 consecutive shots (8 fps). This card worked well for the entire game, very little delay, when needed to chimp shots. Shot jpeg, towards end of game was at 3200 ISO because of darkening conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performance is well worth the price Just bought a Canon 7D as replacement for my 40D, so my 8GB Extreme III cards would hold less than 300 RAW images. Decided to invest in one of these 16GB 60MB/s cards to get more storage. Discovered that the speed of these cards is significantly better than my current SanDisk Extreme III 8GB cards. No lag in the camera as it writes the burst shots and most impressively, fast reads to the computer. No waiting to load the images onto the computer. Marvelous! While the price seemed a bit steep initially, the performance and quality is worth it. When it comes to the storage of photos, getting top quality brands is a worthwhile investment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What can I say? When it comes memory and storage I really believe you have to have the best. I have tried various brands ever since I started shooting and generally haven't had any problems with any brand. However when it comes to write speed and consistency, my SanDisks have always performed. So far I have never had a card fail or have any problems with the data. They are fast and reliable. I have now converted all my memory cards to SanDisk. I'm sure that other brands are good as well, but When I find something that works, I usually stick with it. If you go with SanDisk, you won't ever doubt your decision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The standard for a reason I'm a filmmaker using a Canon 5D Mark II, and this is what I use on location. They work, they're fast, and they haven't broken yet. What more do you want? They are the standard for a reason. There are certainly less expensive memory cards, but batteries and memory cards are what you certainly don't want to go cheap on. Some people say that they prefer the 16GB model as apposed to the 32GB because they are paranoid about losing 32GB of potential shooting should a card fail. I'm of the same school of thought. If god forbid, one of these things ever fail, I'de rather have 16GB of data loss instead of 32GB. 16GB is fine to get the job done with a media manager.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sandisk wont let you down When I needed to buy Compact Flash memory cards, I knew that I would go with Sandisk. I already own a bunch of 8GB SDHC cards and they've been reliable time after time. Sandisk also had an awesome rebate which made the cards cheaper than they were already being sold so it was a deal I could not pass up. The card write speed from the camer is fast and I've had no lag problems when on a shoot. The transfer rate to my Mac was also relatively quick which is what was expected for the Extreme line. The cards also hold quite a bit of memory; much more than I anticipated. I will continue to buy Sandisk products since they've been good to me and haven't let me down.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from unhappy I use this card primarily to shoot video on my Canon 7D. When i first got this card it worked perfect, exactly what i needed. After about 2 months of use, the card speed has diminished significantly and cannot write fast enough to even record video. Photo wise its fine, but 1 out of every 3-4 times i press the record button, it will halt the video recording as it can't keep up with the data transfers between the card and camera. This is especially frustrating since i film skateboarding and the capturing tricks on video the first time is very important. Maybe i got a bum card, but im very unhappy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trusted Brand. This card will be more than sufficient for someone like me who is just starting out in photography! Going with a trusted brand name such as SanDisk you can't go wrong with this card. I shoot stills and this card performs beyond expectations. Have not ran into any issues with this card. First weekend with the card I shot about 150 raw images and this card held up. I don't remind how many gigs I used but I could've easily kept shooting! I do plan buying a second or third one probably at the same size because I don't think I will be needing more than 16GB at a time. This card is fantastic. You can't go wrong with the brand or seller. Thanks B&H. If you're looking for a CF card, add this one to your cart now!
