Bower CS58 reviews

CS58 58mm Pro Snap-On Lens Cap is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the Price Finding it nearly impossible to remove and replace my Canon lens caps when the lens has a hood attached, I had decided to purchase some Nikon caps for the center pinch. But then I found these and thought it would be worth the cost to give them a try. Try I did, and I'm happy enough with them that I will be purchasing more to replace all of my Canon caps. The cap has a firm grip on the lens and doesn't have the tendency to pop off from light pressure by just placing the lens in a bag. The center pinch release is really nice for removing when the lens has a hood attached, but it can also be removed/replaced by pinching the sides which is natural movement when used to using the Canon caps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good; Just a Pinch Away From Great... Well constructed and works as advertised. Attaches securely to my EOS T2i lenses. Only complaint is that the flanges on the pinch area could be a little 'longer' to provide more surface area for pinching, especially for those of us with larger hands. More difficult to attach to zoom lenses with longer hoods than I'd like to see, but not a show stopper. All in all, a good buy for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, decent. I might prefer rubber. It was a little tough to fit it on the lens securely (minor inconvenience at worst), but to its credit it does not require that you remove your existing filters. Once it's on, it feels pretty secure, and it seems to do a decent job blocking glare. I sort of feel like I'd prefer a retractable/collapsible rubbery one. Next time. Also note that you'll need a lens cap that you can remove by squeezing the center of the cap, since the hood blocks access to the edges of a lens cap. This one works for me:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than name-brand These lens caps are great, ridiculously cheap, and I actually like them better than the standard Nikon or Canon caps. They hold well, and they're much easier to take on and off, especially when you have a lens hood attached.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade for any lens I own one of these for every lens I have. It's so useful, especially if you, like me, always have a lens hood attached to your lens. Makes taking the cap off or putting it back on much easier than with a standard lens cap. Also looks great and feels sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap and effective! Works very well with any 58mm lens plain or on a screwed in filter. Cheaper in cost than standard lens cap and works better too, since you can have a soft case on the camera and a tether to the lens, if your into that sort of thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Cap The cap feels solid. It takes a little more pressure to open but in return it grips the lens well. Dos not come off in the camera bag. The lens hood is easy to put on and off while the cap on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Lens Hoods This is exactly what you need if you have a canon lens and a lens hood and want to be able to quickly remove the lens cap. I used this on my 28mm canon lens.
