Sennheiser ew 112-P reviews

ew 112-p G3 Camera-Mount Wireless Microphone System with ME 2 Lavalier Mic - G (566-608 MHz) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 68.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product. Dave Dugedale (Learning DLSR Video) did a comparison between this device and others, and this device won. I don't know a lot about audio and if you are reading this you probably don't either. This device just works, it sounds amazing and its easy to use. It has an amazing range, however I just didn't want to trip over wires (damage equipment or injure talent). Because it's so highly recommended on Youtube it essential comes with free training. If you use a DLSR to record video please check out Ray Ortega's video on how to configure the device for clean audio. Comes with all you need. Wish I had the money to buy the kit that comes with the XLR transmitter to use with boom mic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound and quality build for Pros After much research, I decided to purchase the Sennheiser G3 Lavalier system. After two months of frequent use, it has not failed me yet. The sound quality is both clear and natural sounding. I have use it to record several clients in different environments and setups. Sound quality is good recording directly into the camera but a preamp is recommended for pro quality. The range on this system has been consistent for my use but I have only use it about forty feet away. The built quality is durable and the setup is quick and easy. Plenty of good things to say about this Lavalier system, but most importantly you get what you pay for. Highly recommended for anyone serious about sound quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good setup for Interview I had another one like this (626-668MHz) and then I bought this one in order to record interview. I recorded interview (two people) using XLR connections in 'Tascam 100 mkii' audio recorder. Voice recorded in mono mode. Voice of one person using 516-558MHz recorded at right side using XLR connection and other person using 626-628MHz on left track usin XLR connection. Audio recorder input setup as 'mic in'. At senheiser transmitter mic gain was -30db and at Senheiser receiver it was 0db. At Tuscam 100 mkii using XLR input (in sterio mode) gain was at 'mid' level and analog amp was at level-10. The final signal recode was averaged at -18db. In post only -9db gain was applied. Audio quality was professional and at broadcast level. Obviously, in post left/right audio tracks were mixed and copied one both sides to make them sterio. The audio recorded at 48 KHZ @ 24 bit I love this device. If I justify need I might buy two more for three person and a host type talk show. Highly recommended. Broadcast level quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Faithful Mike! We do videos all over the world. People dropped and sit on my mike. This is my second mike from B&H and both have been Sennheiser. The first unit is still working and so we have purchased another for interviews. They are durable and of great quality sound. The only downside are the connections on the mike. The wire is so vulnerable to damage at both ends. We have purchased three mikes and continue to use the Transmitter. Still in all a great product and tool. Dr. Don Crosswhite - Videographer

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great so far I bought the EW112-p G3 system for an upcoming (low budget) documentary I am shooting. I come from a visual background (photography, set lighting, etc) but realize that when it comes to prioritizing what to spend your equipment budget on, quality sound needs to come first. You can make almost any OK footage look professional with good sound, however bad sound makes even great visuals look poor. This is why I bought Sennheiser. Of course there are more expensive solutions, but bang for buck, this is about as low as you should feasibly go for a wireless system. The set up is deceptively simple (took me a while, simply because i thought there would be more to it) and the sound quality (after tweaking your output signal and matching your recorder) is excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Depends On Where You Are This is a great microphone, but watch the frequencies. Obviously I got G, which I'm guessing is commonly used in certain spots in NYC because I get a lot of static interference which renders the recorded audio useless! However, in spots that I assume G is NOT commonly used by others, the mic, transmitter and receiver work perfectly and produce fantastic sound!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great. Reliable. This is my second Sennheiser Wireless lavaliere mic because I found that I need a second mic for interviews with two people on camera. The Sennheiser wireless lav microphone is reliable and easy to use. It's a classic. It's not fancy. It just works ... all the time. And the audio is excellent ... all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this system These bad boys are the perfect workhorse wireless system on the market. And for the money its nothing to shake a stick at. I've always rented them but I finally pulled the trigger and picked up my own and I'm loving it. The ME2 mic that comes with it is ok, I would recommend looking into a better mic for down the road. Its a bit big but if you're recording audio where the mic can be visible then it's all good. It makes for a great plant mic as well. Otherwise this wireless system is great and I would recommend it.
