The INDURO GHBA Gimbal Head is ideal for photography involving long, heavy telephoto lenses--in sports or nature photography, for instance. Working with a long lens on a standard ballhead or tilt head can be a real struggle, distracting you from the photography. The gimbal head makes the camera and lens seem almost weightless, with vertical and horizontal tracking of moving objects becoming relatively simple--a feat not possible with any other support system. An Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release plate is included. Fits Arca-Swiss-compatible QR clamp on a heavy-duty ballhead.

Gravity-balanced operation provides essentially "weightless" movement and positioning for long lens/camera systems
Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release interchangeable industry standard QR system
Oversized lock knobs provide secure locking of camera angle and rotation, even with bulky gloves

GHBA Gimbal Head is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best of both worlds I already have two tripods each with a ballhead. One of these I recently purchased from B and H. That was a Benro tripod with Benro B2 ballhead. I wanted a gimbal head for shooting wildlife such as birds in flight but didn't want to spend $400 for a good gimbal head. With the GHBA sidearm mounted on the Benro ballhead I now am able to use a ballhead or switch to the gimbal set up in a very quick fashion. With my Sony A7R2 and Sony 70-400mm zoom lens mounted on the Induro gimbal I find the movements to be silky smooth in all directions. I wouldn't hesitate to use this set up with a 500mm f4 lens which I hope to own some day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value First used the GHBA Gimbal Head during a photo field trip at a birding festival in May. The pro-photog/trip leader let me put my Canon 7D MK II on his Canon 500mm prime lens mounted on the GHBA head and an unknown Induro tripod. I had been using a ball head on my own Induro tripod with my 7D MKII and my Canon 100-400 II and I decided I needed to upgrade to the GHBA Gimbal. It is a snap to put on and take off the current ball head and locks up solid. With the gimbal head I get a much smoother and quicker subject acquisition and I don't have to fiddle with locking on the subject as the gimbal head stays put when properly balanced for the lens/camera combination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works If you don't do wildlife photography much but still want the gimbal head for when you do, this Could be the product for you. It is simple and easily used with a ball head that as an arca Swiss plate. I used it on my RRS ball head with good success at Bosque Del Apache this past December. Photographed using a Nikon D500 with the sigma 150-600mm sport lens. Only issue using this lens with the head was balance would change due to the heavy front element when extending the lens out to 600mm. It is half, or more, the price of the well known gimbal heads and does a very competent job. It weighs less and is more compact than most gimbals, and fits into your bag very neatly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my needs Paired this gimbal head with AS Monoball Z1 and you got yourself a portable gimbal for use with telephoto lens. I use it with Canon 70-200mm IS2 w TC 1.4 and my tamron 150-600mm and your set for serious wildlife photography. Planning to get canon 500mm f4 prime next year and I feel that this gimbal head could handle it. Save me money by not getting the sidekick and just upgrade to a real gimbal head by wimberley if I get my 500 or 600mm prime, but I doubt I will need it for just the 500mm. This set up could confidently handle a 500mm per my assessment. Smooth finish and looks tough....Buy it and you wont feel youre gonna need more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GHBA Gimbal head review The machining and finish of all the parts of this product are really nice. The integral arca swiss plate fits perfectly in my Sirui G20KX ballhead. The included arca swiss long quick release fits perfect on my 200-500 zoom which when mounted balances easily in the vertical axis and does not fall forward or backward when you take your hand off the camera. Vertical axis locking knobs takes only a slight turn to unlock or lock. Unit is compact making it easy to pack or store in minimal space. Very happy I chose this gimbal versus the full gimbal because I can revert back to regular ballhead in a few seconds by loosening 1 knob and removing the gimbal. Highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooooth Track I will be using the GHBA Gimbal Head for nature photography with Canon 300 f/2.8 with and w/o extenders. Currently I use it with a 400 f/4. Man, that is nice and smooth- easy following, like it is weightless. The only thing (and I was aware) as others have mentioned since the mount is vertical not horizontal (sitting on the shoe) there is risk in mount and dismount. Just get familiar and take it slow, especially on mounting. I love how with a ball head I can carry one tripod for all types of situations out in the field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product & value I bought the INDURO GHBA Gimbal Head to use with my Nikon 200-500mm lens on a MeFOTO RoadTrip Aluminum Travel Tripod and it works great. No need to remove the ball head on the tripod. Just put the Induro GHBA Gimbal head into the Arca-type quick-release ball head. It's a good compromise between stability and weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from versatility when needed This is quality product that gives you the versatility of using your tripod with ball head + Gimbal head or just the ball head. It's lighter than the full size gimbals therefore it is ideal to use it in an event or travel. Most of the time I use it with my Tamron 150 - 600 mm lens and occasionally use it with my Canon 400 mm (f2.8). It worked well for both setup. Definitely recommend this.
