Will this work with a Canon 6D Mark II with a ...

Will this work with a Canon 6D Mark II with a battery grip and the Tamron 150-600mm lens?
Asked by: Andrew
The answer would depend on the maximum load capacity of the tripod head and the tripod you own. The combined weight of the Canon EOS 6D Mark II DSLR camera with the Canon BG-E21 Battery Grip, two Canon LP-E6N Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Batteries, and the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 for Canon EF would be approximately 7.07 lbs. As long as you have an Arca-compatible quick release plate or foot for the Tamron lens, and both the tripod head and the tripod support more than 8 lbs (12 lbs or more would be preferred, but not necessary), then yes, the Induro GHBA Gimbal Head and your setup would be compatible with supporting the weight of your equipment.

question

Hi BH,Would this type of gimbal head work on the Induro AKB2 tripod system? What other gimbal heads would work with this tripod? Thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, this gimbal head will work on the Induro AKB2 tripod. Many Induro gimbal heads will work on this tripod, since this tripod takes both 1/4 -20 and 3/8 -16 head attachments.

question

Does it work with MeFOTO RoadTrip Aluminum Tripod ballhead?
Asked by: Jean-Luc G.
It depends on the weight of the camera and lens combined. It would be best to use a head that can support at least 22 lbs with a gimbal adapter like that. And the tripod head you have supports no more than 17 lbs.

question

Can you adjust the clamp to a vertical position (rotate it 90 degrees) so you can use an L-plate?
Asked by: Dennis
I use this gimbal with an L-plate. It works both for landscape and portrait. It is designed for landscape with the clamp on the left side. To use it in portrait the clamp needs to be rotated to the right side of the camera.

question

Am I correct that the camera cannot be mounted in horizontal position directly onto this gimbal? My lens with a collar works great since the collar rotates, so the camera can be either in portrait or landscape orientation, but I've not figured out how to use the gimbal with shorter collar-less lenses in landscape orientation.
Asked by: Carl
You are correct - the camera cannot be mounted to the gimbal head in a horizontal position without a tripod collar. But since I use only use it with heavier lenses that hasn't been a problem for me. With shorter lens my camera is fine on just the ball head in both positions.
