question

Can This L-Shape replace the 60W MagSafe (1st gen) T-Shape connector? For a Late-2008 Aluminium MacBook (not Pro). The T-Shape MagSafe 1 are not available even at the Apple Store.
Asked by: Federico
The Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adapter would be fully compatible with your Late 2008 Aluminium MacBook. The physical connection is the same, the only difference is the bend.

question

Is this an original Apple product with a UL listing printed on the charger unit? Thanks.
Asked by: STAN Y.
I just compared the one I bought 2 years ago at B&H to my original charger that came with the computer--and it does not have that UL mark. (I didn't even know to check for it.) I don't know if that means it's not an Apple product. Here's what it has:In place of the UL with small US and IV symbol it has an SA with small US and V.In upper left the original has a box with three symbols and Apple Japan , the replacement has JET and one symbol and also says Apple Japan. The original has Delta Electronics (Jiang SU) LTD V85.The replacement says Dongguan Samsung Electro-MechanicsBoth say designed by Apple, manufactured in China. Original says Model A1184, replacement model is A1344Design is identical, with recessed Apple logo on both.I can't send a pict, but hope that helps.

Is this adapter compatible with an early 2015 MacBook Air?
Asked by: Laura
No. It will only work using a MagSafe to Magsafe 2 adapter. Having said that, the MagSafe 2 60W version will work, however the one that Apple ships with that model Air is the 45W MagSafe 2.

question

Will this work for the Late 2009 11 Macbook Air and the late 2011 13 Macbook Pro?
Asked by: Anonymous
I have a 2014 model and this does not work with it. The adapter connector on the new models are thinner. I had to go to the apple store to find this out and get one that fits.
