The Formatt-Hitech 77mm HD ND 1.5 Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 5 stop reduction in exposure. This 1.5 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or longer shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

This filter is constructed from Schott Superwhite glass to maintain high optical clarity and is set within a 4mm-thick metal filter ring.

1.5 ND filter darkens the image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required.
Providing a 5 stop exposure reduction, this filter allows you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
Filter does not affect coloration of the image and is ideal for use with other filters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC RESULT!! I've got it in case to extend to my 77mm ND 0.9 FILTER for filming on OPEN APERTURE in the sunny days on my Canon 5D Mark II cameras as I found that ND 0.9 is not always enough.. a specially for my FAST Sigma 50mm F1.4 lens! With this filter I'm able to filming videos even at F1.4 and get nice bloored bokeh with sharp object on front!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissatisfied Filter took one month to arrive. It was scratched and covered with finger prints. Filter had a significant red cast to it. I don't know how it would work without affecting color. I'm glad I purchased it from B+H because the return and refund were no trouble at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not too dark and not very clear. There are situations that the 10 stop filter is very intense. Neutral Density Filter 1.5 solves most problems.
