BlackRapid RS7-1BB Overview

The black RS-7 Curve Camera Strap from BlackRapid is a lightweight, right-handed strap with attachment points to customize the strap with a choice of storage and other features. It is designed to work with Black Rapid's MODS system. The ballistic nylon material gives it extreme strength. Additional materials include a polyester base and an underside of 1cm thick TPE (thermoplastic polyethylene) foam padding with fused knitted polyester mesh.

The stainless steel locking FastenR3 connects the strap to the 1/4"-20 tripod socket located on either the camera body or the lens. Once connected, the strap is worn diagonally across the torso from shoulder to hip. It's discreetly adjustable at the rear of the shoulder pad and once adjusted, the camera hangs upside down, resting securely at the side or in the small of the back, with the lens pointing behind. The strap has a curved pad with a mesh underside for comfort and breathability. The weight is evenly distributed for comfort. This BlackRapid strap is designed so you can have rapid access to your camera without fear of it slipping off your shoulder. Grab your camera, glide it up to your eye and get the shot.

question

Can this strap, be used, with the Fuji X-e1?
Asked by: Anonymous
Not totally familiar with the Fuji line but the strap will work on any camera with a standard tripod socket. My wife uses this strap on her Nikon D800 which is a full frame DSLR. She says it is comfortable, secure and distributes the weight across her shoulder, not around her neck.

question

Can you attach the camera body to a tripod with this strap on?
Asked by: Megan G.
No you can't. The connector uses the tripod mount on the camera. Having said that there are some work arounds that make it easier. I have an L plate mounted to the camera, then connect the strap to an arca-swiss type clamp (using blue loctite). That allows me to quickly connect/disconnect the strap.

question

It appears that this strap has only one clasp (attachment point) The photos show the strap attached to the quick mount on the BOTTOM of the camera. Is that the only method of attaching the strap? To the bottom of the camera?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes ,this is the only attachment on the strap , it has two adjustable stops so the attachment has a range of motion. I am sure you could buy a clip that would fit the camera strap slot on your camera. It can then be attached to the clip the quick mount is on.

question

Can any women comment on how this strap fits? I am average chest size but am finding these cross body straps to be a bit annoying with how they cut in the bust. Thank you.

I love this strap. The curve lays nicely and it's super comfortable to wear. I like it more than I thought I would. Can carry my heavy camera comfortably all day with this strap. Totally worth the money. Hope this helps.
