Frame for Scrim Jim Reflector System, Medium 42x72" (1.2x1.8m) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from solid and light weight This medium size is perfect for an assistant to hand-hold (or perhaps body-hold is more descriptive). The nice thing is that you can assemble it as a small frame as well, simply be leaving out the two straight pieces. The Velcro is very strong and won't wear out easily. It's simple to put together (about 30 seconds) and take apart, and the individual pieces are short enough to fit in a tripod case easily. Once set up you can use it as a scrim, a reflector,a flag, or a shoot-through diffuser depending on the fabric you attach. Wescott makes great silks but they're not cheap. Overall, I couldn't live without it for location setups. The medium is the perfect size for a full length portrait, providing nice even light in any situation. The only negative is the lack of a crossbar, such as in Lastolite's panels. Crossbars would allow you to attach a speedlight or two (or three) directly to the frame for a nice big softbox type effect - but you can get around this with a lightstand and some grip gear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job This frame was a little difficult to put together the first time around. It was hard to fit one of the pieces in and you really needed some strength to get right. But overall it does the job its supposed to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works great!!! Product assembles quickly and is sturdy. For the price you can't beat it! I do wish though it had a way to stay together more permanently than just snug fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful and strong For such a thin aluminum frame it is very strong. I have actually set it up as a butterfly length wise and it held nicely.
