The Square ONE Splitter from Klark Teknik is a professional-quality analogue audio splitter that provides versatile and cost-effective audio distribution. Housed in a 2RU all-steel chassis, the unit features 8 preamps, designed by the same team that made the popular Midas XL8. Each channel has XLR input and output connectors, with all connectors duplicated on the rear panel for easy access. The front panel outputs are transformer-isolated and gain independent to prevent unexpected changes. These outputs also feature switchable 48V phantom power, which can be activated from any mixing console connected to the output.
Each channel has a 9-position rotary gain control, as well as a 30Hz high-pass filter. A solo buss with a headphone amp and level control provides direct front panel monitoring. If desired, the 8th input can be routed to all 16 outputs on the rear panel, ideal for press feeds and other distribution applications. Each of the rear outputs has a ground-lift switch to eliminate low frequency hum and buzz. Each channel has a 4-segment, 3-color LED meter for status indication. The splitter has a universal power supply for international use.
