    Redrock Micro 3-002-19MM reviews

    19mm/15mm Studio Swing-away Arm is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but!!! Works as advertised but there are some issues I ran into. Seeing how its a 19/15mm hybrid and the thumb screw on the bottom of the rod clamp can only work when put into the bottom of the cross bar it makes it impossible to use with dovetails that extend beyond the Matte box like on my shoulder rig. Oh yea, I can get a riser and stuff and it will be fine but I just don't want to add more weight. If is was just a 19mm and the thumb screw could go on top or bottom, and the excess metal was cut out on the bottom to allow a dove tail to slide between the rails a bit then it would be 5 star. As it is Im having to spend more money and add weight to do what I need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Locking Screw I had the same issue another reviewer mentioned with the locking lever hitting the dovetailing on the original LW bracket. I first tried to replace the lever with a knob with the same thread which wasn't easy to find but the knob didn't permit enough torque to lock the bracket. In the end I had a machine shop take a few milimiter off the original lever to make it fit. This isn't a newly released item so Redrock should be aware of this issue and should have fixed it. On the other hand, this is a rock - bottom priced Mattebox so even with the price of paying a machine shop for some alterations it is still a good deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good 19mm mount for RedRock Matte Box I use this to mount my Redrock Micro Matte box to my RED 19mm The Clutch shoulder rig. Overall, it works well. Slides on the rails easily and mounts securely. Easy to adjust to fit whatever lens you may have mounted. Blue knobs are cool. Could be a little cheaper, but nothing ever is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit pricey, but solid This is a bit pricey for what makes up this piece, but it does serve a specific purpose. It's a lot more durable than the picture makes it out to be, which is great.
