    Roland RH-5 reviews

    RH-5 Around-Ear Stereo Headphones is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't buy another pair. These headphones sound pretty solid. Not the best headphones I've ever heard, but for the price, they have a nice dynamic range. Unfortunetely they're cheap and brittle speakers. I had 2 pairs of headphones plugged into my mixer. One of these and a cheap $ pair of sony's. I got a pretty loud signal through the mixer that clipped for about 20 seconds. Not extreme clipping, but just into the red zone. Well the cheap sony's made it just fine, but I lost te right side in my Roland's. Yes, it's kind of my fault for giving it a high signal, but the point is, that they are not capable of taking any stress at all. You get what you pay for. Beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed headphones at a fair price I was looking for a reasonably priced headphone set to use with my Roland D-50 synth and Boss BR-600 digital recorder. The Roland RH-5 at less than forty dollars seemed like a logical choice based on past experience with other gear from this manufacturer. Actually though, I made the decision to purchase the RH-5 headphones because of the wide frequency response specification (10-22,000 Hz) for this model. Other brand headphones in this price range offer a much more narrow range (usually 18-20,000 Hz) so the Roland RH-5 is definitely a little better suited than some for use with electronic instruments and when monitoring live recordings. It turns out they are equally great for just listening to music on an MP3 player as well. These headphones are very comfortable to wear and provide excellent sound quality for the money. The gold plated stereo mini plug and 1/4 inch phone plug adaptor is a nice convenience feature too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price I recently bought these to replace some Sony's I had for years. I didn't want to spend too much but still wanted some decent headphones. I mainly use these to listen to my ipod and to plug into a small practice amp. The sound quality is decent but gets distorted if you try to push the volume well before the max. I don't use them like this but I wanted to see their potential. They are very light weight and comfortable, you can hardly tell that you have them on. Over all they are about what I expected for the price however I prefer the sonys that they replaced which were in the same price range.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great choice for the price We purchased these headphones because we haven't been satisfied with the sound of other headphones when using our Yamaha Clavinova. These RH-5 do sound somewhat better than others (and are much more comfortable for long term playing), but they still don't give the same sound as hearing the piano play without headphones. It's possible that the Clavinova is the culpret and not the headphones. The comfort itself is worth a great deal of consideration when compared to other phones. For the price, I think this is a great choice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality inexpensive session headphones The Roland RH-5 headphones are inexpensive quality headphones that are great sounding, closed, over the ear, lite weight and comfortable. The price is low enough that several won't brake your bank account. The cord is a heavy duty cord that should take quite a bit of stress. They work nicely as phones for recording sessions with multiple muscians.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value Have had this headphone for a couple of weeks now. The sound is much better than another brand headphone I have. Considering the price, I think it is a good buy. One minor point is I need to take it off after a few hours of listening.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far these headphones are the bomb. I use these headphone to learn tunes, very good response and can hear keyboard parts clearly. They are made cheap but I guess you get what you pay for. The drivers are great but the outsdes are cheap don't know how long they will last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding! I wasn't expecting a whole lot seeing as its kind of lower on the series scale, but I was impressed with its power! It captures lows beautifully as well as highs. Very loud! Very happy with the purchase.
