    Redrock Micro microMount reviews

microMount is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does its job, but not for EVFs. I got this initially to mount an EVF onto a rig. Simple and elegant is the way to go, right? Initially, that works fine. Just be cautious because the screw mount will come loose if what you're mounting twists much (like an EVF). Unfortunately for me, it got enough abuse that the threads on the spud got stripped. Mounting anything else should be fine, though, so long as it doesn't twist very much if at all. And as with all Redrock Micro products, it's superb in quality. You just have to pay quite a penny for it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from costs a lot, worth nothing I purchased this item and seriously after I used it maybe 5 times it just got broken. Now whenever I try to mount this micromount to my rig the squeezed pin pops out in a minute. Considering the high-end quality of the brand Redrock micro products this mount is a total dissapointment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but... The only problem I have with the micro mounts is that I have two of them with two of redrock's micro arms attached. I've screwed in the arms into the female part of the mount and it goes in fine, but you need to use pliers or a vice grip to get it in there firm, and it almost feels like I'm cross-threading the mounts. It's not that big of a deal because once you get them in there and lock the arms, they hold up very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock-solid, very reliable Purchased to mount a 7 LCD monitor and 11 tension arm to my camera rig, this microMount holds on tight! There are some very inexpensive alternatives out there, but I have tried them and they simply do not hold on. The design makes it versatile and easy to configure, and the reversible male/female mounting post is a nice touch. Spend the extra money and get the microMount. The cheap mounts are just that: cheap.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pricey but practical I use the micro mount with my rail kit to mount my 5 LCD monitor. It's cheaper than the Zacuto version and not bulky like some cheaper versions. It has a solid build and feels light enough not to weigh down my rig. I'm not loving the price but figure it'll pay for itself once I use it enough. Don't dig on the bright blue knobs or replacing them with black for $24 smackers but that's just being picky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well I use the microMount to attach a reticulating arm holding a 5 video monitor to the 15mm rods on my small camera rig. The microMount gives me the flexibility to place the monitor wherever I need it. It attaches securely to the rods and includes a male/female screw mount to support whatever device you need to attach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So versatile! Love it. I just got it, but I know it's going to save the day in many ways for a long time. So far I've used it for external audio and a monitor. The best part is that you can flip the female/male insert to your liking. This helps to avoid items bumping into one another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I use this to attach my Zoom recorder to my shoulder rig, the spud has a threaded male mounting post on the top and female on the bottom so you can use it to mount 2 accessories or remove the spud and attach another rod... Great Product Many Uses
