    Redrock Micro microLensGear reviews

microLensGear Size B (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive piece of plastic but worth it If you are using dslr for video than something like this is a must! It allows you to keep your hand directly off of the lens which gives you more focusing controlling and gets rid of vibrations on the lens. Very sturdy, this focus ring really does make focus pulling a lot easier! Best thing about it is that it is compatible with any industry standard follow focus unit. I really can't think of anything bad about this item except for it's price, which is pretty ridiculous. However, RedRock Micro makes exceptional products and I basically bought the brand name. I definitely recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from microLensGear is a must have Purchased the Captain Stubling rig without knowing it didn't come with microLensGears. They are plastic and seem to be prone to breaking so I got two just to be safe. No complaints thus far. RedRock makes great gear, but it was unclear why they'd make a rig with a follow focus that sells without gears. With the amount of money they're charging, that should be included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works with most Canon lenses great! This lens gear fits most Canon lenses perfectly, and I highly recommend it for any indie filmmaker using a follow focus. Just FYI: it does not fit any of the L series lenses Canon makes. For those you need a size C lens gear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the trick. Seems to do the trick. I only use it with ZE lenses, and when attached the ring doesn't slip, nor does it damage my lenses. One problem, they're a bit tricky to size, as for some lenses B is to small and C is to big... Even with the spare screws. So I find myself in a situation where I'd wished they were slightly more customizable. Overall they do the trick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great If you know Redrock gear, than you know how good they make it. But, this does take a little getting used to. Make sure you get the right size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works really well. I use this with canon lenses. I also use zacuto's version which I like less. The Redrock give a little extra diameter which allows a finer adjustment than the z zipgears. Also, the Redrock is wider allowing my ff gear to be more easily placed. Finally, it's less expensive than the overpriced zipgear. Build quality is pretty good. No issues so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the trick.. Seems to hold well enough when tightened, and doesn't damage the lens. However, the sizes are a bit limiting and ZE users should beware that the lens gears are oddly sized for the ZE lenses.. They will work, but are just on the cusp of not fitting well. I've only tried RR lens gears so I cannot comment on other brands. But again, they do the trick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexible for use on multiple lenses and great FF alternative This ring can be used on multiple sizes, unlike the custom-to-fit options available but what I really love about the system is the ability to add the focus lever for situations where your not operating with an AC and need to pull your own focus. I find it easier to use the optional lever than turn a FF wheel.
