The Nikon F to Canon EOS Adapter Ring is custom-made by Cinevate to allow Nikon AI F-mount lenses to fit on a Canon EOS camera, including the popular 5D Mark III and 7D DSLRs. Constructed of long-lasting chrome-plated brass, the adapter ring gives your Canon SLR access to a large line of quality optics, from Nikon's own top-notch lenses to such third-party stalwarts as the Zeiss ZF primes, which have a Nikon lens mount. With this simple adapter, you'll more than double your camera's optical versatility, while maintaining each lens' focal length and full focusing ability, from macro to infinity. Please note that this mount does not allow for electronic aperture control and is not compatible with non-AI Nikon lenses.

Nikon F to Canon EOS Adapter Ring is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 151.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the price. I disagree with the reviewers who complain that this unit is difficult to use - it isn't. Admittedly it doesn't come with an instruction sheet, but lots of things don't come with instructions - like shoes and bread. Are you going to go barefoot and hungry? I'm hard pressed to think of a Canon user who hasn't handled a Nikon or visa versa; this unit is the very definition of a no-brainer. Fit and functionality are fantastic, I can't imagine what the more expensive adapters could offer that this Cinevate ring does not. Invest your money wisely not extravegantly. Plus: B&H store counter personell were extremely helpful, as always! Thanks Jesse M!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Old NIKKORs? Beware! Well... this has been thoroughly reviewed. Major cons are few, but important: lens does rattle once it is affixed, as others have noted. But more importantly: the iris tab on the back of older NIKKOR lenses extends a little further into the body of the camera than the newer ones do. So if you accidentally try to remove the lens while your Canon is in live-view mode, like I did, that tab will break the focusing screen inside your camera. That's bad. Cinevate has since included a warning about this on their website: that's because of me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Ring for $ I have not compared this with other rings, but I feel confident this is the happy middle ground. You can get some for a bit less, but I've heard that they don't lock in place very well and then you can get some adapter rings for $100s. There's just no point. I am shooting all-manual, old Nikon primes. This is the way to go. I do wish that the red marker for the mounting point was more obvious. The first time I did it I mounted the lens wrong on the adapter and did a few things out of ignorance but figured it all out via trial and error. A simple instruction booklet would have been nice. I now own 4 to keep on all my Nikon primes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Adapter! I use my Nikon AI'd lenses on my Canon 5d Mark III.Doesn't support auto-focus (a given), but I only use manual for video anyways.Contrary to other reviewers I find it is actually pretty easy to remove the ring. I can do it in 5 seconds. It's actually harder finding the right way to put the ring on.With Nikkor glass it only clicks and locks on the lens 1 of 3 ways. I often have to try all 3 ways before it locks on. The ring is solid, and high quality, the lenses do not move or have focusing issues once it's installed. Full range focus works just fine.I bought 4, none have broken or had any issues. I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cinevate gave me a replacement without hassle I love a company that stands by their product. I had one with some play. They didn't ask for me to ship it back to them or give me any sort of hassle. They quickly and promptly sent me a new one. I think all the ring adapters of this type from any company will get some play at some point if you're using a heavy lens. I don't think that's avoidable. You should have some lens support. Cinevate sent me a link to a little video that shows you what to do if you do get some play in the adapter. It worked like a charm. Contact them for the link and password. I have a few of these now and will continue to buy them as I buy more lenses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought One, now I need more! Backpacking, Hiking for lanscape photography. The rings fit great on Canon body, yes its a little jiggly but only if you really crank the focus/iris ring like your the incredibly hulk. It's not just insert and twist, make sure the locking mechanism of the lens matches properly and locks in right. Once you lock the ring properly on the lens you can connect the camera body. You also going to need a ring for every lens, personally it's not the type of ring you want to interchange between lenses (if you own more than one nikon lens) I would definitely recommend it to a friend and am actually going to buy more of these for each of my lenses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adapter works great. I bought this Nikon lens to Canon 5D Mark II adapter so I could mount a vintage Nikon 50 F1.4 S non ai lens to my Canon. At first I didn't think it fit because it didn't quite sit over the top of the f-stop adjustment fork on the Nikon lens. When I realized that was the rub I just removed the fork, not sure that's what it's called, and it fit perfectly. When the lens and adapter are attached it has just a little play. That doesn't effect the image quality at all. Of course, the lens is all manual. I am really excited about the shots I am getting. I think the adapter will work on later model Nikon lenses but I have no experience there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great addition to my gear I was originally a Nikon equipment user until recently switching to Canon (5DMk2) because of the HD video. I purchased this adapted ring to utilize all my old full frame manual Nikon lens that have been sitting idle for the last several years. I went from using two (2) Canon zoom lens (24105 & 70300) to now utilizing an additional twelve (12) lens in my kit. I knew there was a reason for holding on to all my Nikon Glass and I am really glad that I did. Especially those older straight lens for shooting HD video. I didn't realize how much I missed using these old lens. This adapter ring is AWESOME !
