I have a Canon 6D Mk II camera and a Canon EF ...

I have a Canon 6D Mk II camera and a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM Lens. I returned this teleconverter because I got a lens to camera communication error. Today I read that attaching the teleconverter to the lens first, and then to the camera solves this error. Can anyone verify?
Asked by: William
It is always important to connect the tele converter directly to the lens first. This way one is creating a new lens with the added focal focal length. Attaching the converter to the 70-300mm f/4-5.6 will not allow for auto focus except at the widest angle. It is possible one will still not get communication with the converter

question

Dear friend: I have a Canon 60D and the lens are a Canon EF-S 18-200. Is the teleconverter compatible with the equipment?
Asked by: Joo M.
You will want to look for the Kenko Teleplus HD teleconverter. The HD series were designed with the Canon EF-S lenses in mind. The rear element of the EF-S lenses protrudes out too far and will impact with the front element in all but the HD series teleconverters by Kenko.

question

Is this converter compatible with the Canon 5D Mark IV?
Asked by: Steven
You shouldn't have any problems with this combination. However, it all depends on which lens you use as well. The EF and EF-L lenses will mount and AF and AE, but the EF-S lenses will not mount. This is due to the rear element protruding out too far and it will impact with the glass in the converter.
