With the Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 DGX 2x AF Teleconverter full autofocus (AF) functioning is possible with lenses having a maximum aperture of f/2.8 or brighter. Having 2x magnification, the Teleplus PRO 300 is constructed from seven multi-coated elements in four groups, allowing a depth of field that is half of the prime lens used and retaining the prime's minimum focusing distance.

The Teleplus PRO 300 has genuine Gate Array IC, which means that not only the converter's own data but all data sent from the camera body provide full exposure metering and electronic flash photography.

Has anyone used this TC with the Tokina 100mm f/2.8 macro lens?

Both the 1.4x and 2x Pro 300 DGX TC work fine with the Tokina 100 mm macro lens. It reduces the focusing distance though, for macro work. Just make sure you have good light and use manual focus.

El teleconvertidor Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 DGX 2x AF es copatible con el lente Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR. Pero perda el enfoque automatico en algunas situaciones. Es el unico teleconvertidor que le permitira enfoque automatico.

Is it compatible with Sigma 70-200 f2.8 ex dg os hsm?

Nikon type AF converter should be compatible with any Nikon or other AF lenses. However, this converter requires large aperture to AF to work. Not much useful if AF is must. I mostly used w/ manual focus. Waste of money and design with respect to AF functionality.

As per the manufacturer, this telecomverter would have limited functionality with a Nikon AF-S 18-200mm lens.

Work with a Nikon d7000 18-200mm? Primarily would use it at 200mm for moon pictures as using manual focus. Saw many said not good for less than 50mm. Is that mechanically that could cause problems with the camera? Or just that photos are horrible at wide angles?
