question

What's the difference between this lens and the one designated 'R.?' Is it just more metal/ less plastic?
Asked by: Steven P.
I think R is micro 4/3. This is 4/3 - not micro. Probably bugger and heavier.

question

Will it work on the Panasonic GH4 and will Image Stabilization still be available in the GH4 Menu (not grayed out)?
Asked by: Edward G.
I like this lens very much, tough I wish it was a bit faster. I use it on an Olympus...M1 so I can't answer your question re: the Panasonic camera

question

What is the Mount index ring for?
Asked by: Anonymous
If you are asking about the 360 degree view of the lens, the Lens Mount Index there isnt referring to the entire ring, but just the red dot. That dot is there to help you line up the lens when mounting it on a micro four thirds camera. There will be a corresponding red dot on the camera, and you would line both dots up when mounting the lens.

question

Will this lens work with an E-30 or do you have a recommendation that would?
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, the M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom Lens is not compatible with the E-30. This lens has the micro four thirds mount, while the E-30 has the four thirds mount. For the E-30, you would need to look at four thirds mount lenses such as the Olympus 18-180mm f/3.5-6.3 ED Zuiko lens (B&H # OL1818035).
