    Lowepro 102 AW reviews

SlingShot 102 AW Camera Bag is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 225.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing For Travel & More This bag exceeds my expectations to no end. It is extremely comfortable to carry on your back, holds all of my accessories, and when I need the camera for a quick shot there is no taking the camera bag off your back or shoulder, setting the bag down, unzipping, fumbling for the camera, etc... it's as simple as swinging the bag to your front, unzipping one zipper, and the camera is right there, in perfect grab position to get that quick shot. I bought this bag because I am going on an African safari and want something easy to carry, that will hold my other lenses, and is easy to access. I can't say enough about this bag other than, what are you waiting for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great, but a few flaws I bought this because my old bag had worn out, and so far, it's worked great, but it isn't quite as advertised. The dividers are removable, but not really adjustable. Also, when you swing the bag around to access your equipment, it's easy to reach the camera, but not the lenses or accessory pockets. I can fit one lens and a flash in, but the flash has to be bent over, and I don't see any way you could fit a long lens in. Lastly, the tripod strap isn't really for tripods; it can only fit a very small tripod or a monopod. It's still a good bag, though. There's plenty of room for accessories, and I like the sling design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice, plenty of room for the D7000 Fits my D7000 with 18-200mm lens on it along with a 35mm lens, room for a flash, small rocket blower (though would fit the medium too), lenspen, micro cloth (even though it has one built in), all the cables that come with the camera, pockets for extra memory cards and the body and lens covers. The built in rain over is kinda cool too. I bought the Op/tech utility strap sling as well. The D7000 fits with the 18-200mm on it, just barely. Anything larger and I would not feel comfortable with anything bigger. Any more equipment and you'll also want something bigger. Nice addition with the tripod holder as well. Solid construction, easy to open, nice soft features inside for protection too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality with config options This bag is wide enough to fit my Nikon D7100 with 18x200 lens attached, plus as configurable compartments in the interior to hold 2 more lenses. It provides convenient straps on the outside to hold additional equipment like a tripod, and a few extra pockets for smaller paraphernalia. Straps are easily adjustable and I like the added touch on detail in providing a way to tuck away the excess strapping. The only negative that I can comment on is that I didn't feel there were enough pockets to carry additional small items. The pack construction appears to be durable and well padded to protect equipment inside should it be dropped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for short photo shoots Living on the Battlefield in Gettysburg this camera bag is perfect for my morning or evening walks. I'm able to carry my SLR with attached lens, two extra lenses, a monopod and my rangefinder, a total of about 7 pounds. After only a few weeks with this product the rain cover has already come in handy on two occasions. I recommend this product highly for day trips. It is easy on the shoulders and seems extremely well made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent, Low Profile Bag At first I wasn't sure whether to get this bag or the larger version, but this bag works just fine. The way I have it set up, it fits my 60D, the detached lens, and a shotgun mic. If I get another lens I'll need to get the bigger bag but for right now this one will suffice. The bag has a weatherproof shield tucked into the bottom of the bag that can be stretched over the bag to protect it from water and the environment. Very helpful. My only gripe is that putting a tripod in the tripod/monopod holder throws the whole thing off balance and makes it a bit uncomfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, the best travel companion! This backpack is great! I have a Canon T2i with 3 lenses (8-135mm / 50mm / 28mm) and a external flash that I can carry inside, all fully protected by its foamy interior. Its unique design makes it perfect to shoot pictures in a few seconds. Just detach the side lock and slide the backpack from your back to your belly, and voil, unzip, shoot, zip-it-again and done. Also has a hidden cover for rainy situations, very useful, when you are travelling. It's very light, fits in your back perfectly and it's the right size to fit all your carry around photo gear safely while you are travelling, thru the desert or the city, in a car or horseback riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag as advertised, slightly small Generally speaking, this bag does exactly what it says and does it well. I like everything about it. My only warning is that it's a bit on the small side. However, I don't count this as negative because the bag advertises itself as a smaller bag (size is clearly stated -- camera w/ lens and 1 or 2 additional lenses). If you are looking for a bigger bag, the slingshot 202 AW is still not a big bag, but holds more gear than the 102 AW. However, if a smaller bag is what you want, this one is great. I use it as a easy carrying bag for events (friends' weddings, get-togethers) and for hiking. Basically, for any time I know I only need a couple lenses and not the entire arsenal of camera gear. Honestly, how often do you need absolutely everything with you for a day trip?
