    Lowepro 202 AW reviews

SlingShot 202 AW Camera Bag is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 298.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! I have been on a hunt for a camera bag that is in between a back pack and a sling bag and this Lowepro Slingshot deffinitely is the one I've been looking for! It's very convinient for an on the go shooting! I love how I can just swing it around my body to grab the camera and the side opening is excellent for easy access with my gear! Also, the attached starp for the tripod or monopod is an excellent addition. It also comes with detachable deviders so it is easy to customize space and storage. It also comes with a handy weather cover. Although I wish it have more pockets for cables and such but overall it definitely was a good buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as expected This bag is exactly what I wanted. I bought this to hold my Panasonic GH2. I was tired of carrying around my small camera bag, and wanted to upgrade to a bigger back pack style bag. I found this one, and watched the video and I was sold. The way the bag turns around and your camera is read to shoot is a great design. If you have a camera with a big lens, like the 300mm, you would probably be better off with the 302. Again, the design is great. The bag is spacious, especially with a micro 4/3 camera. It is nice to have a wet weather bag attached, and a micro fiber lcd screen towel built into it as well. I would highly recommend this bag

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for women I was so excited to finally get a good bag for my growing collection of gear. This bag is well made, lots of storage and extra features. But, the design is not a good one for women. The strap and stabilizing strap (it is not a waist strap) cut across the girls. Also, when you adjust the main strap up high enough to fit a smaller framed person, the back is up so high when you swing it around you can barely get the camera out of the bag. I am not an extremely small woman at 5'7, so this was very disappointing. So, back it goes and I'll probably end up with a waist bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and Bad Pros: * It is comfortable to carry as a backpack; very well balanced. * Gear is well-protected (but see below) * Lots of storage for cards, accessories etc. Cons: * I have no idea how this is rated at 4-5 lenses. I can barely get 3, including the lens mounted on the camera. Maybe if you are using tiny Nikkor AIS lenses, you could get 5. Got Zeiss lenses? Forget it. * I find it a bit awkward to access my gear and change lenses while wearing the backpack. To open the compartment enough to access a lens puts them in extreme (IMO) peril of going tumbling out the front of the pack. Maybe it will grow on me...it's okay, just a bit smaller than expected, and kind of awkward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would order this product again as well as recommend it! I started with ordering the SlingShot 102 AW. I don't have a lot of extra gear (lenses, flashes, etc.), but found that it was too small for what I do have. I called customer service about returning the bag and explained how it was not big enough. I inquired about a different bag when the agent told me about the same bag but in different sizes. I really like this bag because I used to have a backpack but you had to take it off completely to access the camera and components. Sometimes I had to put in on the ground in dirt, mud, slush, etc., but with this bag I can easily move it to the front to get to my camera, all without having to take it off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Design This is a nice bag and Lowepro makes good quality stuff, however after using it I regret not going with a backpack. This bag is great short term. If you plan on carrying it around all day which I did, it does start to wear on you your shoulder. But the sling design is awesome because of the quick access I was able to get some good shots that I would probably normally have missed. The design is great it has the things the pockets that you need and the upgrades that were made from the 200 AW are great. However I quickly found myself having to leave stuff out because it didn't fit once I got new lenses. Which is okay if you are going on a day trip but for anything longer the bigger back packs would definitely be the way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lowepro 202 AW Camera Bag I bought it to transport equipment when flying. It easily holds my Nikon D7100 with its grip and a Nikkor 70-300 zoom having a total length of 9. I can store 5 more lenses. To keep them safe I use the Nikon lens bags to separate them. The total weight is about 10 lbs and feels quite light when slung over my shoulder. The strap is well padded. I read many reviews and it seemed that some people fill it with an FX body and very heavy lenses then complain it hurts their shoulder when used for a long period of time. My DX system (with two FX lenses) is smaller and lighter so I do not have that problem. The upper compartment interior is a trapezoid having base sizes of 9 (23cm) and 5 (13cm), the legs are 4 (10cm) and it's 4 deep. Overall, it's a great design and very well made out of top-notch materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roomy, well laid out compact bag I recently purchased the Lowpro Slingshot 202 AW bag for my wife. I have used the earlier version of this bag for several years, and have found it a good choice when only a couple of lenses are needed for the shoot. The 202 AW has added a tripod leg pocket and strap loop on the side. They have also revised and improved a built in SD card holder. I normally carry a full frame camera with a 28 - 300 mm f3.5 - 5.6 lens, plus a 24 - 7 mm f/2.8 lens. And I still have room for an SB900 flash and pocket wizard. Like I said, a lot of room in a small, well laid out bag!
