ZEISS 524561-0000-000 overview

  • 1Description

The compact, lightweight and easy-to-use Zeiss Victory 8x26 T* PRF Rangefinder Monocular provides critical hunting information in as little as two seconds — showing the distance to your target, accurate to within one yard, and impact point correction that accounts for bullet drop, so you'll know just how high or low to aim. The Ballistic Information System (BIS) offers six pre-set ballistic curves and four sight-in distances.

As a viewing monocular, the PRF offers premium optical features, including Zeiss's T* multi-coating for optimal light transmission and protective LotuTec coating for optimum viewing in any conditions. Its housing is dustproof and submersible to 3.3'. The styling is designed for two-handed use, much like a binocular, which results in a stable and comfortable viewing experience.

Covering distances up to 1300 yards, the Victory PRF's laser rangefinding system is accurate to ±1 yard up to 600 yards; at longer distances it is accurate within 0.5%. Measurements can be taken in yards or meters, and the scanning mode is ideal for moving subjects. The PRF's one-touch measuring button activates the invisible, eye-safe IR laser and displays the range as fast as 0.5 second. The BIS data, showing the proper hold-over for specific cartridges, displays 1.5 seconds later.

    ZEISS 524561-0000-000 reviews

Victory 8x26 T* PRF Rangefinder Monocular is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Entry Level Rangefinder I purchased this rangefinder to estimate targets in the Nevada desert. During my research I compared this unit to the Leica CRF 1000. Optically, I think that the Leica had a slight edge, but the somewhat larger objective and higher magnification of the Zeiss is what sold me on it. Additionally, although I treat my gear well, I felt that the rubberized shell of the Zeiss would hold up better in the long run versus the aluminum housing of the Leica. Each unit ranges targets quickly and accurately. I have only had the opportunity to use mine out to 600 yards, but other reviews I've read are quite favorable out to 1200+. Pricewise, you can't beat the Zeiss. After the rebate I was able to purchase the Zeiss for $shipped from B&H. THe customer service and speed in which I received the product was great as usual. Buy with confidence!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact, light weight & long range I primarily use this rangefinder for long-range shooting in the field. For this purpose, it's hard to imagine a better rangefinder. For one thing, it ranges accurately out to 1,200 yards. I've even gotten a reading at 1,450 yards! The readings are very quick as well, which is nice. The only things I think are missing are a tripod mounting hole for range use, and a scan mode like the Nikon 1200. The optical quality is good as would be expected for a Zeiss product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Victory 8x26 Rangefinder As the story always goes, you really do get what you pay for, and the Zeiss 8x26 rangefinder is certainly no exception to that rule. Crystal clear optics, very long ranging ability and almost instantaneous ranging results makes for a very useful tool. The self adjusting red LED display makes it easy to read in any lighting condition, even on pitch black nights,(yes it will range at night) I ranged a distant familiar tree line, over 600 yards through a double pane window at 11:00 pm. Though not as compact and full of features as the Leica 1600 the Zeiss 8x26 has features the leica does not. I very much like the range upon release feature as it is almost impossible to hold a cross-hair on a long distance small target and press a button. The Zeiss works best if held by two hands which is not great for bowhunting situations, but I have more compact short rangefinders for that. For my application the Zeiss 8x26 is strictly long range tool, and for that they work perfectly. A tripod socket would be nice to aid in long distance work, but so far I have had no real problems ranging automobile size targets over a 1000 yds freehand and deer sized targets at 1000 yds when bracing myself against a solid object. During a recent antelope hunt the Zeiss helped me freehand range a nice buck at 754.yds. After adjusting the MKIV on my 300 ultra mag, I was able to place the first shot right into the bioler room. Simply put, if you want high quality, reliability and true long ranging ability for a bargain price the Zeiss 8x26 Rangefinder is very fine choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great LRF! This is a great LRF and w/ the price drop it's the best LRF for the money! I put the battery in, walked outside and ranged out to 1407y! It's only rated for 1300y. The glass quality is good too, couldn't be happier. ...Thanks BHP!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zeiss Laser Range Finder Easy to use. Excellent optics. Would have to spend thousands more to purchase a Military grade Laser Range Finder. Price was competitive. Delivery was super fast and I used Bill Me Later. What more could you want?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised, well made. Works as advertised and as documented. It appears to be of high quality. I got mine on sale so i'm very happy about that. This model is fairly minimalist in features compared to some other rangefinders. Weigh features, quality, price, and intended purpose when choosing a rangefinder. For myself I'm satisfied with this model; it gives me exactly the features I wanted without extra features I feel I didn't need. Your needs may be different.
