    Pyle Pro PCA4 reviews

    PCA4 Mini 2 x 120 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pyle PCA4 So, according to the manual, this amplifier only really puts out 20 watts per channel. That being said, do not think you can power 200-300 watt speakers with this and expect it to sound clean.. I bought this because I needed an amp that was small and quiet (fan-less) to power a pair of studio monitors. The studio monitors I am currently using are 40 watts RMS and this amp powers them really well. The blue db meter lights are another concern. They are WAY too bright. This bothered me at first, but after using it for a couple of weeks, my mind just tunes it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would definitely purchase again I have purchased Pyle amps several times in the past for a variety of applications. I purchased this amp to power stereo speakers for my PC on which I play music. The speakers are full range so I needed an amp with a good frequency range and plenty of power. Speaking of power, this amp has way more than necessary for my application. But because of that I need not turn the amp's volume over about 3. These low cost Pyle amps are not known for great Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) but that doesn't come into play until you crank up the volume. If you plan to try one of these amps I suggest you get one with higher power than you application requires so you too can keep the volume and the distortion lower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Amp This amp worked perfectly to power the speakers on my workstation. My only complaint is make sure you look at the distortion rate. This amp cannot handle 120 watts. I am using mine for 40 watt speakers because going past 40 watts starts to distort the sound quality. So just be aware but other than that great sounding product. Blue lights on the front are really bright but they don't bother me. Overall good product just read the product info before buying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value for money I bought this to connect a Sony CD player (Sony cfd-s35cp) to a pair of Acoustic Energy Aegis Neo 1 (v1) speakers I had lying around. Pros: Extremely simple to set up and use - took me less than 10 minutes from unpacking to having the set-up working. Sound quality is not bad at all for the price. There is increased distortion at higher levels but the sound is too loud for my room well before I reach this point. The small form factor is a huge convenience and the 120v/220v selector enabled me to directly use this in India. Nice construction and finish. Cons: No complaints as of now. I found the flashing blue LEDs uncomfortably bright at night, but covering them with tape took take care of the issue. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from simple and easy I bought this so I could upgrade to 7.1 surround. My receiver has a 7.1 pre-amp channel so I was looking for something compact and yet powerful enough to run with the rest of the system. I know I could have gone with more power but at 5X the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound for the price. A friend of mine own a food truck and he wanted to put music. He has an iPod for that and the speakers were already installed in the truck. I read the specifications and I told him, this is what you need. Simple to install, two audio in and enough power to move the speakers. He bought it, installed, and used it. He is very happy now with performance of the amplifier and he did not have to spent a lot of money. Like I said, very simple to use and great performance for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Misrepresented Specifications The specifications in the user manual state that this is a 2 x 20 watt amplifier (at 1% distortion), not 2 x 120 watts. If you try to push up to 30 watts per channel, you have 10% distortion which makes it unpleasant for any type of music. On the positive side it is inexpensive, small, and easy to use. It will run some small speakers for a small size room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what the doctor ordered... ...and I'm the doctor, so I ought to know! I needed a small, clean power amplifier to drive speakers for my Macbook. The PCA4 was the correct choice after lots of homework. Very reliable and very inexpensive. An added bonus: I was able to drive a second set of speakers that I had from an old stereo system. It's a great sound and I am very happy! Mark Andrew Cook, PhD
