    Behringer INFINIUM X1 reviews

X1 INFINIUM Optical Fader for DDM4000 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great instant Upgrade!! So I have had this fader installed for about a month now and it is a big difference from the original fader on my Ddm4000. The cuts are a lot more cleaner than the original fader. The slightest tap outputs a sound which has made my crab scratches a lot more distinct than the original fader. I have tried the inofader on a friends mixer which is still a really nice fader but for the infinum being half the price its a great choice. I was contemplating buying the inofader but I'm really glad I saved my money. Installation was not too hard. With big hands it maybe hard to install the wire because of a weird angle. I used needle nose pliers which made it very simple. Total install time was no longer than 10 mins. The knob it comes with is smaller/thinner which is kinda weird at first if you are use to the original thicker one but I quickly started to like it better than the original. Only problem I had was that the initial one I received from B&H, one screw hole was not threaded which made it impossible to mount and had to be replaced. Customer service at B&H was very polite and got another one to me in a few days no charge to me at all. So wherever you choose to buy this infinium fader make sure they have a good customer service because with Behringers reputation ur likely to get a dud. At this time B&H seems to be the cheapest and most trustworthy. Happy scratching!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slight Tweeking, but works ont he Behringer DJX900USB mixer First let me say that I don't own the Behringer DDM4000 mixer! This fader is supposed to be an upgrade for that specific mixer ONLY, according to the online installation instructions. I have the Behringer DJX900USB mixer and was in a tight spot when my fader started bleeding. So I ran across this fader (BEHRINGER INFINIUM X1), and when I zoomed-in and noticed that all the circuits matched the fader in my DJX900 mixer. The INFINIUM X1 was the exact same layout. So at that point, spending $29 was cheaper than buying a new mixer, right? So I took the chance and ordered this fader. It came in 2 days and I was ready to install the fader. I came across 2 big issues! First the connectors are different, secondly, the wires were opposite from the old fader. Well, I was warned that the fader was for the DDM4000 mixer. No one to be out-done, I told myself that I would try to rewire the fader and splice-on the new connector? Might as well try, I had the part in hand, and it was still cheaper to try, than buy a new mixer. Long story shorter, as I was trying to wiggle off the connector for the second time (on the mixer), I somehow pulled both ends of the connector off, leaving 3 exposed prongs sticking out! Something told me to see if the new fader's connector would slide over these prongs and fit! Wow....they did fit perfectly. I turned on my mixer and heard some noisy feedback. So I then unplugged the connector and flipped it around the other way. BINGO! The fader worked like a charm and I didn't have to splice or cut any wires. So if you're the least bit handy with your hands, and have the Behringer DJX900USB mixer with a bad fader....this is a cheap fix! Think I'll buy another fader as a spare! I'm now back into the MIX!
