The Singh-Ray 77mm LB Neutral Circular Polarizer Filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions.

The LB designation of this filter stands for "Lighter, Brighter", which refers to the lower optical density of the filter that enables shorter shutter speeds or smaller f/stops to be used when the filter is in place. The brighter design of the filter also enables a brighter viewfinder image to aid in composition as well as improves auto exposure and focusing performance.

Singh-Ray ring-mounted filters are constructed from highly polished proprietary glass to provide notable image quality and clarity. The standard ring mount design measures 8.5mm-thick and features front filter threads for stacking of additional filters.

Reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface.
Arrange and filter directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light allowing for the absorption of much of the light.
Lessens haze in distant landscapes and provides more saturated, vivid colors.
Strongest effect when used at a 90° from the sun.
"Lighter, Brighter" design enables shorter shutter speeds or smaller apertures to be used compared to other circular polarizer filters.
Neutral tone helps to maintain color fidelity for natural rendering of colors and tones.
Constructed from highly-polished glass to provide high image quality and clarity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent polarizer It is the best polarizer I have ever used.I have excellent Canon L lenses and never could understand how photographers would choose a cheap piece of glass to put in front of excellent optics. What is great about this polarizer is that it removes unwanted reflections, darkens skyes, and warms the scene without degrading the quality of the photograph. Good optics demands excellent filters and this is certainly the best I have come across.Mine stays on my lens and provides protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Filter Works very well. So far only used on lake pictures, but it cut the water reflections nicely. Easy to mount and no problems with it coming off. Someone else recommended that adjustments should always be made in the same direction as its mounted (clockwise if you're looking at the front of the lens).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Caused vignetting on wide angle lens My wide angle photos of Grand Canon had black corners caused by the thickness of the circular polarizer. I was not a happy camper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for serious photographers Landscape photographers get dramatic skies, better color . Eliminate reflections. Use a 77mm filter and reducing rings on lenses that take a smaller filter.
