Impact PowerSync 16 Transmitter Overview

  • 1Description
  • 216 Reliable Channels
  • 3Extensive Range of Reliable Performance
  • 4Fast Sync Speeds

The Impact PowerSync16 Transmitter is one-half of the PowerSync16 radio slave system for triggering flash units up to 590' (180 m) away indoors, or 200' (60 m) outdoors using the AC receiver or the DC receiver (both available separately).

PowerSync16 has 16 digitally coded channels available so you can even work at events with other photographers without flash or radio interference. You can trigger as many flashes or cameras as you like from this one transmitter, as long as they're all on the same frequency and have a PowerSync16 receiver. Flash sync speeds of up to 1/250 second are possible with PowerSync16.

The transmitter features a hot shoe mount and can be triggered directly from the camera. In addition, a PC sync cord is included, which allows the transmitter to be positioned off-camera to be triggered via the camera's PC socket. The transmitter operates on one 3V CR2450 battery.

The PowerSync system is not designed to perform in TTL mode with flash units - camera and flash must be set to Manual Mode.

Note:
This remote does not provide high-voltage sync protection, and is not recommended for use with flash units that have a trigger voltage of more than 6V.

16 Reliable Channels

Digitally coded at 2.4 GHz for multiple set-ups; work at events with other photographers without the worry of flash or radio interference.

Extensive Range of Reliable Performance

590' (180 m) indoors; 200'+ (60+ m) outdoors. An above-average range for the most demanding situations (radio interference and low battery strength will lower your effective range).

Fast Sync Speeds

Compatible with most cameras, offering a maximum sync speed of 1/250 second; allows the user to capture most studio and event scenes.

question

Would this type of transmitter work with either a Sony A7 or a Sony RX100ii?My goal is to fire an off-camera flash. Thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
As both the Sony Alpha a7 Mirrorless Digital Camera and the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 II Digital Camera use the standard ISO hot shoe, the Impact PowerSync16 Transmitter would be compatible for use with both cameras.

question

Will this fire the Impact VC-500WL 3-500Ws Monolight Kit? I need to replace the transmitter that came in the kit.
Asked by: Jeremy P.
Unfortunately, no the Impact PowerSync16 Transmitter would not fire the Impact VC-500WL 3-500Ws Monolight Kit. The Impact Radio Transmitter VC-500WLXMT is the correct transmitter for the kit, but it is not sold separately. You may wish to contact Impact Studio Lighting directly to request a replacement either by calling them at 212-594-2120 or by using the link below to e-mail them. http://bit.ly/1g7INv4

The transmitter will only transmit the signal to fire, you will have to get a receiver for each of the lights you want to fire at once.Either of the following items will be needed for the heads you wish to use.
