    Shure A15AS reviews

    A15AS - In-Line Attenuator is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy problem solver Does what it's supposed to do, allowing hot microphones to be attached to mixers, recorders and camcorders in high SPL situations, converting line to mic level and so forth. I carry two of these in my run bag at all times to solve interfacing problems that arise in the field. Simple and sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great As an event videographer I often have to take a feed from the house audio board. This attenuator helps insure that the incoming signal is still usable and doesn't overload/clip my mixer input.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An absolutely awesome attenuator! I had an old one that lasted three years and started to come apart. However, I easily put it back together and it's been fine ever since. Just keep an eye on the screws that lock the XLR sockets into place. I bought a new one as back up, but I haven't had to use it yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bread and water There is nothing exciting about an attenuator, but when you need one nothing else takes its place. This is about the best on the market. Dead quiet, switchable attenuation, it just works as it is suppose to. Every studio should have a handful of these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works perfectly My Rode NT 4 is too hot for my Panasonic HMC 150s. The attenuators lower the signal so I can adujst the mike levels properly. I would normally have to take a compressor and use it only to adust the input signal. Now all I need are the attenuators.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product multiple times, and I have Shure continues to lead the audio manufacturers with products like the In-Line Attenuator. It is a simple yet elegant design that allows quick and precise attenuation of signals preventing distortion in mike and line level signals. It is durable and connects easily with its male and femal XLR terminations. It is a boon to to audio engineers in this day of mismatching signal strengths and chaos. I would certainly endorse purchasing this even if one weren't an engineer. It's comforting to play with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3 attenuators in one item This has 3 selectable levels of attenuation. I keep two in my kit so that I can have a shot at matching input levels on lots of different kinds of equipment. It's just good insurance !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great for toning down a hot feed Just used it at a event last Friday. Got a feed from the soundboard into this on my left channel to the camera. Feed was to hot so I used this on 20 and the sound was then fine.
