What is the diameter of the bottom/smallest section? (for the ACM-2400 without the legs) Is it a bare round tube when the rubber tip is removed? Or is there a threaded insert like with the ACM-2400L? I'd like to use a spike foot and need the diameter to see if any of Manfrotto's will fit.
Asked by: Michael
The diameter is 1" and does not accept a spiked foot.

Sure, it comes with a reversible 3/8 -16 & 1/4 -20 mounting screw. The 1/4 -20 screw is standard for all cameras including Nikon 35mm SLR and current DLSR models.

question

In the userguide of this product, I saw that it mentions about mouting HeadBall with this product. So does it come together with HeadBall or we must to buy separate one
Asked by: Anonymous
This monopod does not come with a ball head, and you will need to purchase one separately. I recommend the Oben VH-R2 Tilt Head for Monopods: http://bhpho.to/Iwakv7

question

Does this monopod have the three feet that fold out similar to the Oben 2400L? If not, then it cannot be free-standing? Wondering the main difference to determine which one would be more suitable to purchase for shooting nascar racing photos.
Asked by: Anonymous
No, this tripod does not have the 3 fold-out feet such as the Oben 2400L model does. Please note that the 3-fold out feet on the 2400L model are not intended to be free standing. No monopods should ever be left free standing when these types of feet options are available. The point of Monopods (and by extension also the point of the fold-out feet) are to relieve fatigue on hands/writs from having to hand-hold gear during long shoots. The monopod itself relieves that fatigue, and the 3-fold out feet aid in further stabilizing the unit. Please do not ever stand gear up and walk away from it as these feet are not designed to function like a tripod. The 2400L model would be more suitable if you were to be stationed in a single location shooting for long periods (if you have to quickly get up and move the 3 fold-out feet can be cumbersome to work/walk with.
