I have a wireless receiver that needs DC7V to operate (Sony WRR 855). Can I use Battery bud to power it?
Asked by: terence
The Battery Bud is only a distributor of a power source connected to it. The WRR-855 by itself has a specific din connection, meant for dropping into a camcorder receiver slot. To attempt use of the WRR-855 as a standalone receiver, you'd first need the Sony BTA-801. This will provide a 12V 4 pin connection and a separate audio out. Next, you would need a properly wired audio cable to send power to the correct pins from the Bud to the BTA-801. Then, you would need a 12V lithium battery with battery cup to attach to the Bud.

Can use this with a Dtap port from a camera battery using a Dtap to 4pin hirose adapter?
Asked by: Ted
It should work with your camera if you have a cable like the CAMVATE D-Tap to 4-Pin Hirose Cable (B&H # CAC2379).
