Celestron T-Adapter
Key Features
  • For 9.25", 11", 14" EdgeHD Telescopes
The T-Adapter from Celestron allows the observer to attach a DLSR camera to an EdgeHD telescope's prime focus. It threads onto the EdgeHD telescope's rear cell - a camera-specific T-ring is required to complete the assembly. This T-Adapter is compatible with the 9.25", 11", and 14" EdgeHD telescopes.

Once configured, the EdgeHD can be used for terrestrial digiscoping and short-exposure astrophotography. It can also be used for long astrophotography when using a separate guidescope.

I have both mono and OSC cameras and needed a second T-Adapter to change cameras without messing with spacers etc. the second T-Adapter fit perfectly, works great and allows quick change between cameras on my C11 edge HD.

As with most things from Celestron the T-adapter is made from solid material and with good construction. Its a pretty simple item so there is not much to say about it. I would have given it 5 stars but there is no good way to use a filter with this adaptor. It was only after purchasing this item I found an adaptor by a Starizona made for Edge HD scopes that accept filters.

Would this work on a micro four thirds camera?

The 2X Power Viewers are basically small cardboard popup binoculars. They work great for visual observing, but they are not recommended for photography. There is no way to attach them to a camera and there is danger the open camera lens will be exposed to the sun and damage the camera.

Will this adapter fit a nextar evolution 925 sct ...

Will this adapter fit a nextar evolution 925 sct ? Mine is not an edge hd
Asked by: Alberto
No, the Celestron T-Adapter (MFR #93646) will not fit a Celestron NexStar Evolution 9.25 Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope. For that you would need the Celestron T-Mount Adapter for Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes, BH #CETAC5 • MFR #93633-A (https://bhpho.to/3HTFvkL).

Can you tell me what diameter the tube is? ...

Can you tell me what diameter the tube is? Wondering because I shoot full frame DSLR.
Asked by: Roger
The inside diameter of the tube is 66mm. This will not have any affect on your ability to use a full frame camera. What will is the thread size that attaches to your T-adapter. The #93646 uses the standard 42mm T-threads. For full illumination, the #93622 48mm Edge T-adapter is recommended. The body of the adapter is the same dimensions, but the threads are 48mm.To use this, you will need a 48mm T-ring for your camera to get full illumination.
