Is there any way to improvise the attachment of a circular polarizer filter on such a 'buxom' front element?
Asked by: John
Yes. On ultra wide lenses you need a filter holder system that is contoured to the exact shape of the built in hood. For this particular lens consider FotodioX WonderPana 145 Core Unit Kit for Sigma 8-16mm Lens with 145mm Circular Polarizer Filter BH #FOW145EKS816

question

How does this lens work with MC-11/A6500 in terms of stills?
Asked by: Anonymous
You can use the Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 DC HSM Ultra-Wide Zoom Lens for Select Canon EOS SLRs on the Sony a6500 with an adapter. We normally recommend a Metabones adapter, that we know works and is supported by the adapter manufacturer. Using the Sigma adapter with a non-Sigma lens is not supported. That means if it doesn't work or is damaged, Sigma is not liable. That being said, penalty of people use the MC-11 with non-Sigma lenses with no ill-effects.
