    Hosa Technology XVM-102F reviews

XVM-102F Angled 3.5mm to 3-Pin XLR Female Microphone Cable (2') is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost didn't make it. Normally I'm completely satisfied with Hosa cables, so it was a little surprising when using this one there was lots of handling static around where the molded plug went into the camera. I was getting ready to toss it (not worth a trip to the post office to send it back) when something made me decide to try cleaning the plug with my shirt tail. It worked; the static was gone! Evidently the plug was contaminated with something, maybe oil. On the down side, now I have something else to remember to do with new gear that some day I'll eventually forget. sigh...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfect Feeds output of mono mic to stereo input on camcorder, evenly splitting the mono signal between the two stereo sides. Looked a long time for this one, as most cables available feed the mono to only one side of the input on camcorder. Had no use for the 15 foot cable that came with microphone. This one is the perfect length.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Poor Build Quality Bought it from a local reseller. The XLR connection is made of plastic and it easily breaks. After one or two weeks of usage the sound started to get noisy, after close inpection i noticed broken pieces of plastic inside the XLR connection and the whole thing broke apart. Very cheap build quality. Improves the sound but only when it works... So i spent extra couple of bucks to buy a solid metal XLR connection and soldered the cables to it. Now it works perfect. This is how they should have built the cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome for Wedding Video I do wedding video and needed an xlr-to-3.5mm. Used it when an RCA output was not available. No complaints at all. This is a great tool here to have when the dj's RCA outputs are all taken up. Now I have more flexibility to have a clear recording instead of popping my audio recorders in front of a speaker (not good).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Haven't used this in a production environment just yet, but did some quick testing with my Sennheiser K6/ME66 going directly into a 5D MkII. Worked great! Should probably first go through a preamp to boost the signal rather than using the 5D preamps. But really haven't done much testing on that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not heavy-duty This cable isn't expensive, and works fine so far, but I'm not going to hold out hope that it'll last for years. The XLR side of things is much flimsier than the heavy, solid ends found in higher price cables.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product This XVM-102F Angled 3.5mm to 3-Pin XLR Female Microphone cable. Aloud me to connect my Rode NT3 condenser microphone to connect to my laptop microphone input. This particular microphone need a phantom power but is also powered by 9V battery. And this microphone work better then laptop internal microphone.
