I use this on my shotgun mic on a camera and Y it off to a second camera to have the same audio on at least one track. I prefer the longer cable to keep connectors farther from the camera. they work perfectly.

This Y cable isn't some phenomenal item, but how great can a Y cable be? It's perfect for the job. Sounds good. What else could you want? Not everything has to be a Mogami.

Still works. You can leave one male out of your zoom (to put another device in its place) and still mono-split it later. Bout $ cheaper than making a balanced twin xlr yourself.

the first one I purchased was defective. the pins on one of the male plugs was out of alignment it was too close to the casing and it wouldn't plug into the socket on my audio recorder so I had to return it and get a replacement. I have yet to use the replacement so I will review that eventually

What about 48volt phantom power? Do the mics still get enough juice?
Asked by: Robert
The Hosa Technology YXM-101.5 XLR Female to Dual XLR Male Audio Y-Cable is not designed to split signals from microphones directly and therefore may not provide adequate power to a microphone requiring 48 volts.
