Aquatica HD Wave Mechanical UW Housing f/ Sony HDR-XR550V & HDR-CX550

This Aquatica HD Wave housing is designed for the Sony HDR-XR550V and HDR-CX550 HD camcorders. The housing is machined from a solid block of aluminum that is anodized for corrosion protection, and a final layer of textured military grade polyurethane powder paint is added for outstanding durability in harsh sea water. The housing operates safely to a depth of 300' (90m).

Since it is a mechanically controlled housing sealed with o-rings, you don't have to worry about being in a remote area and needing a soldering gun to fix a corroded connector. All the controls are ergonomically positioned for easy access to most camcorders functions, including touch screen manual white balance control. The large 3.5" LCD viewfinder is angled at 30° for optimal viewing position.

The included wide-angle port is a good all around lens with a 90° field of view that allows for full zooming. The port bayonets onto the housing and a flat port is available. There is an internal flip filter arm with an UR Pro Blue filter for color correction in warm salt water. The dual grip system allows your housing to be controlled easily underwater and provides a place to attach TLC light arms. Other features include a sensitive hydrophone, water sensor alarm with blinking LED, and an auxiliary port to add other accessories.
