The Audio Effects Workshop - A good effect can either make or break a record. This unique approach to audio effects takes into account both how the ear hears sound and what makes a sound either successful or a flop.
Using your DAW, as well as working along with the enclosed DVD, you'll work with an array of audio files to both study, examine, play with and understand what they can do to achieve great sounds. The book is written in an easy-to-understand, friendly language that, along with the audio examples, will provide you with more than a firm foundation in the use and understanding of audio effects.
You'll learn about noise gates, EQ, compressors, expanders, limiters, chorus, delay, reverb, modulators, stereo imaging, stereo panning, and more. And, you'll come to understand how these effects can be used in combination to reach even more unique audio effects.
