The For-A HVS-350HS Type A 1.5 M/E Switcher supports 8 HD/SD-SDI inputs and 8 HD/SD-SDI outputs, and comes with the HVS-35OU 1.5 M/E 20 Button Panel. Switching of asynchronous signals is possible via the frame synchronizer function present in each input. Offering a re-size engine on 4 of the 8 inputs, the unit enables mixing of the SD and HD environment with a lone switcher.
Thanks to event memory, the time taken for transitioning to an event’s registered status is reduced drastically, making the switcher useful for live performances, etc. You can easily set the events to be called up and the time to assist to the registered status, thereby avoiding the tedious task of using a sequence function that requires you to select pattern.
With AUX transitions, you can display the video on a separate monitor. The Switcher also allows you to achieve a multi-monitor setup on up to 4 screens by assigning 4 channels of DSK to AUX channels. In addition to 2 keyer channels with the chroma key function, the HVS-350HS 1.5 M/E Switcher also features 4 DSK channels that can be reassigned to perform various tasks. The keyer and DSK have a dedicated 2D DVE that allows you to add scale effects or other 2D effects. Additionally, using the 2D DVE for DSK enables you to enlarge a portion of the video for easy transition to match the arrangement of monitors.
The HVS-350HS 1.5 M/E Switcher supports 2 channels with a multi-viewing function that is capable of displaying up to 16 splits. Transfer of the externally created data to the main unit is possible by the 4 still store channels via Ethernet. The Switcher supports 2 channels of dedicated Picture-in-Picture (PiP) circuits that allow the picture to be enlarged, shrunk, repositioned, cropped, or given a border.
The package comes with a HVS-35OU control panel that is optimized for the switcher’s functionalities. With 20 bus buttons, dedicated fade levers for M/E, P/P buses, 3-axis joystick, and direct buttons placed in an easy-to-use configuration, various functions of the switcher can be easily accessed. A USB interface, which can be used for operation such as saving or reading still store content, backing up of various parameters, etc. An ARCNET connection is used to connect to the main unit, which enables extension of up to 328’ (100 m) via a single BNC cable.
