The General Brand 62mm Collapsible Rubber Lens Hood helps to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by shading the front element of the lens. Its collapsible, rubber design enables it to remain on your lens at all times without requiring much additional space and it also serves to protect the lens from accidental impact. This lens hood has a 62mm threaded screw-in design and is intended for use with normal focal lengths.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Useful Lens Hood After decades of owning many cameras and lenses, I tried this lens hood. It fits my 62mm lens opening perfectly. I can be pretty rough with lenses, but I have never had a lens hood that stays on as well as this one. The fact that it collapses saves space in my bag and allows for great flexibility. I don't normally rave about a lens hood, but this one is worth praising.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A new experience I bought this item (sight unseen) hoping to replace the sun hood for my Tamron 70-300 mm telephoto lens. Although this rubber hood will provide physical protection from side impact damage and limited sun protection (flare) it cannot be used with the 'on camera' flash in fill flash situations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just OK I like these rubber hoods generally, but I have had the experience of being able to see the hood in the corners of the photos (when the hood is fully expanded). And, these hoods will not likely protect the lens in a drop or a simply bang against something hard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and effective Purchased this for a Nikon 60mm Micro I bought from a co-worker. For my needs, It's an acceptable solution. Provides a bit of protection from bumps when the hood is collapsed. I gave four stars because the hood isn't perfectly round when extended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice What I like about this hood is you can leave it of your lens since it folds back for storage. It also protects your lens being rubber, from bumps. The folded flap when stored also is a great protector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this product! I really like this because it does not take up so much room in my camera bag. Also, you can just pop it up or down without having to unscrew it to turn it upside down when you don't want to use it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I ordered a cut lens hood for a large zoom. But got a rubber folding lens hood. It is well made and more durable than most I've seen. Just not what I wanted.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what I ordered Sometimes I use a rubber hood to absorb any jostling that I fear the regular hood would just transfer to the lens/camera.
