120 Stainless Steel Reel is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfectly I was really skeptical about stainless steel reels as I've seen reviews saying they've come bent and unfunctional. I wanted to try it anyways since I can never seem to get 120 film on a plastic reel, and I'm glad I did. Where I was trying with no success for 45 minutes to get my film loaded on a plastic reel, this is easy and smooth. It goes on in seconds.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Even Practice Doesn't Make Perfect - The First Time Pretty nice quality. However, doing over 30 trial runs, still messed up when actually loading my first roll of 120 film. Definitely plastic reels are a lot easier. I will do myself a favor by purchasing more Paterson reels. And if I get brave enough again, I will try once more using this stainless steel reel. Definitely a humbling experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spend the money on the Hewes There is a huge flaw in the design of the clip that holds the film on the reel. it slides left to right and is very difficult to secure. Watch the videos on the Hewes reel. The clip doesn't move left to right because the springs reach to the sides instead of the center. Much more secure and easier to load. Don't waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spool wrinkles fim Not sure if mine is an exception but the spool is narrower than 120 film causing wrinkling and wrecks the film. Tried a different on and same thing. Not usable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from REALLY GOOD REEL First quality. Personally I prefer the plastic reels because are easier to charge, but with a little practique... this other works perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stainless for 120 Once you get the hang of it you can do it in your sleep. Stainless steel is the only way to go for developing your 120 film.
