Porta Brace BK-2N reviews

BK-2NR Backpack Camera Case (Medium, Midnight Black with Copper Trim) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I should have bought this years ago Amazing case. Just the right size, holds a serious camera (Red One) with some lenses, batteries, everything else you need. Even a tripod case on the side that will really hold a huge tripod. It works as a backpack, and it works just as well when you use it as a hand-carry case. Big pockets, PortaBrace quality that feels like military grade. Folds all the way open quickly with fast access to everything I need. Easy to pack it all in quickly too, without banging gear together. It comes with an interior case light! And one CS-B9 Stuff Sack. I bought three more of these and am glad I did. They hold lenses, a 7 video monitor, and don't take up significant extra space. Fast, strong, protective, and easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's huge! I pack a Panasonic AF100 and a variety of lenses from Canon and Panasonic. You'll look goofy carrying this thing on your back, but it's really quite comfortable. There's more than enough room for all of the lenses I have, as well as a couple of Canon SLR bodies. My 17 MacBook Pro has room to spare. Believe it or not, I can even strap in my huge Manfrotto tripod, though that's ridiculous. The construction is, as I've come to expect, excellent. With great size comes great responsibility. Yeah, you can load this thing up, but it will get so heavy that it borders on being impractical to carry. I have a great shoulder strap from a previous Porta Brace bag, and that helps. I do wish it came with more dividers. The light is neat, but not something I'd really need.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plenty of room, plenty of padding I've taken this bag to Europe and all over the US on projects. Only once have I had to gate check it - strict American Airlines. I watched it summersault down the luggage ramp, but everything was intact. If you don't put much in the front pocket, then it will squeeze into all overheads. Carry it on your back when boarding, so they don't give it a second look. The shoulder straps do well at dispersing the weight, but the boxiness of the bag can be awkward. That's what you get with this much room. I recommend buying dividers and/or cushion bags separately to keep items from slipping around. I use a camera cradle that velcros to the inside. The tripod sleeve is handy to put other bulky items in, but don't expect to put your large sticks in this. First of all it's heavy. Secondly, the inside diameter of the tripod sleeve is under 7 (if I remember correctly). That'll limit what you can take. The build quality is A+ Portabrace quality. Great zippers. Great handles. Strong velcro that stands up to time. Solid bag, but not for the small or weak!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Last bag you'll ever need What else could one ask for? It stores all the essentials for videography, and then some. Heck this is what I managed to put in.... - NX5 camcorder - 3 batteries - battery chargers - wireless kit - shotgun mic - handheld mic - cables - laptop - external hard disk - laptop power supplies - headphones - LED lights - the list goes on... Sad to say, after purchasing this Porta Brace, I do not need to purchase any of their bags anymore, as I know this will outlast even the camera equipment inside it. And all fit into the bag. Perfect for a long assignment. Pricey? Yes. But I'd rather pay top dollar for this, than to fork out cheap dollars many times over for a bag with less functionality. Only gripe is that some airports will not allow in on board. But you can always point out that guitars are allowed on board, so why not this? It has worked for me several times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bigger than what it appears to be When I saw the picture of this backpack I though it'll be just a regular size bag. It's massive! Which is great for my needs, but if you are expecting a regular size backpack you got another thing coming. Offers good protection for your equipment and has a lot of pockets to store all sorts of accessories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Product I'm using the backpack case for shooting in the mountains and away from traffic infrastructure. It holds what it promises. You can transport cameras, laptop, tripod (head and legs). I can recommend it.
