The D-link DCS-1100 Wired Network Camera is a ¼" CMOS camera with a built-in CPU, webserver and D-Viewcam management software that can be quickly set up and configured. With UPnP (universal plug-n-play) functionality, the DCS-1100 Wired Network Camera can be up and running in 3 steps - connect, plug in, and run the installation wizard. Easy to install, the network camera can be used as a monitoring system in homes, small offices, child-cares and amusement parks.
Images seen by the camera can be remotely viewed on D-link's website (www.mydlink.com), without the hassles of configuring a router or memorizing IP addresses etc. You can also view the live video feed while on the move, via internet capable mobile phones with a 3GPP player.
The camera offers a resolution up to 640x480, 16x Digital Zoom and 10/100 Fast Ethernet connectivity. With 1 lux light sensitivity, the camera captures high-quality images even in low-light environments and features a built-in omni-directional microphone that picks up sound from all directions.
The D-Link D-Viewcam 2.0 management software lets an advanced user exploit the full potential of the camera. Supporting up to 32 cameras, the software makes it possible to transfer images to a local hard-drive, deploy motion detection with email alerts, and set recording schedules.
You can also upload a floor plan of the surveillance area and create a layout of the cameras for quick and easy access to them. You can also record video directly to a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, thereby eliminating the need for a dedicated computer for video storage. With the help of DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name system), you can assign a unique domain name to the camera on the network. The simultaneous MJPEG and MPEG4 streams allow for maximum utilization of bandwidth and image quality.
