While a bit expensive, these grids provide true pro-quality capability that will stand up to use. The metal construction makes it possible to use these, carry them around in your kit bag, and always have a functional grid available. Highly recommend.

It's simple to attach and does what you ask of it (focusing light with zero spill/leak). I use it on one of my D1 heads as a hair light, and it works pretty well.

Although the grid is a little on the expensive side, I'm glad I got this. It's a perfect fit on my D1 heads and does not allow any light spill. I was using the Profoto grid reflector before with some 3rd party 7 grids and I always had a problem with light spill. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase. I'm planning on adding the 5 & 20 degree grids also.

Does a great job of what I need it to do. Most frequently used on a backlight, but also does a good job when used as a hair light. Stands up to the heat of the D1 monolight.
