Nikon 25460B reviews

D3000 SLR Digital Camera Body is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from nikon d3000 i am a film student who just bought a refurbished nikon d3000. it is the first SLR i've ever had, and for the most part i am incredibly happy with it. being a poor college student money was a factor in picking a camera and also why i got a refurb, but this has turned out to be a good beginner, general camera. i bought the camera right before leaving for several different countires this summer, so i have only gotten to use it for travel photography so far, but i have played around with some of the settings and expect it to be. my only complaint is that the screen is kind of small and you dont always get an accurate view of the pictures you've taken, but its still not such a huge deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from no hassle great camera i've been wanting a dslr camera for a long tme and finally took the plunge and bought this refurbished nikon. the price was great and the camera perfectly fits my needs. i mostly use the camera to take photos for my online store and for personal snapshots. it's easy to use and the photos are amazing. only downfall might be that there isnt a live screen (you have to look through the viewfinder). but i actually find this to be a plus as the battery lasts a lot longer without the drain of powering a live feed. the screen is great.i also use this in conjunction with the optional remote and its excellent and straightfoward. i highly recommend this camera to any beginner photographer. ...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Little Camera Just starting to play with this camera but I'm really liking the quality of the photos is producing. I've had a D70 for about 4 years now and have always loved it but its getting old and the photos aren't as sharp and clear as they used to be...I'm getting those kinda of pictures and better with the D3000. It is small compared to what I'm used to but I like that its not as heavy. Couple of not so pleasant surprises...only one command wheel instead of two and auto focus doesn't work with all my lens...just the DX ones. Since I have two non-DX lens that was a bit disappointing. I do feel that it will be a great training camera when I decided to start mentoring up and coming photographers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nikon D3000 Bought this camera as a present for my 14 year old daughter who loved toying around with my D90. Was most impressed by the intuitive menu structure that offered a true learning experience for a beginner, and while the D3000 is not the quickest camera to get around in a hurry, the picture quality remains to be of a high quality-certainly beyond that of a point and shoot. It's built well, and will offer her the chance to experiment with all of my lenses. Overall- extremely happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Camara The D 3000 is the perfect camera for those who want a powerful and versatile camera at a low price. It has all the professional features but is simple enough to be used by anyone so you don't have to be a professional to take great pictures. It actually has a guide function that guides you trough the camera settings. It has 7 scenarios and 4 manual options so you control as much a you want and the camera dose the rest for you. The vibration reduction is good but it's not enough when taking pictures in the dark. In order to take good pictures a tripod is required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My First Digital SLR the Nikon D3000 I have found this camera pretty easy to use, and as a novice in digital photography it's exactly what I was looking for. It takes great photos, and can be as simple as a point & shoot to operate. There are so many functions to learn! But, my quest for taking the kind of shots I want to eventually take will happen as I learn. Fortunately there are some excellent books out there, even camera specific books to teach the nuances of your particular model. I wish it had come with more than one battery, and if you purchase a similar camera make sure that a spare is your first add on. It comes with a 18-55mm lens, good for decent shots, but you'll probably want a stronger zoom, or possibly a wide angle to add on as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an excellent camera This camera has so many features that help you capture the perfect photo. It's user friendly an very easy to use. Since I've gotten the camera I've been taking pictures non stop. I love everything about it, the image quality is amazing. People always tell me how great the picture looks. I have a new baby nephew that I've been taking pictures of non stop. These pictures are going to make great memories for the future. You can adjust the lighting, image size and even take away that annoying red eye. I love everything about this great camera!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC Camera! For my first DSLR camera, I am blown away by this Nikon D3000! I got it refurbished, and it feels practically new! The photo quality is brilliant, the user ease is fantastic, and the feel of the camera is so natural. I highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for their first DSLR. It doesn't take video, which is fine by me, so if you want to do video as well as photos then upgrade to the D3100. However, if you are like me and just want a simple camera that takes pictures...the D3000 is wonderful!
