    Nikon 26207B reviews

Nikon CoolPix S3000 Digital Camera (Black) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 123.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Camera for the price! My main camera is a Nikon D60. I purchased this slim Nikon Coolpix because of its size for times that I don't want to carry around a SLR. This camera is very easy to use and the perfect size to keep with you at all times to capture those unexpected moments. The start up time for this camera is amazingly fast and short lag time. I love the fact that it can charge while downloading pictures to your PC or Laptop. The only short fall for this camera that I have found so far is the short life of the battery. My SLR can take around 600 pictures when fully charged, this Coolpix took around 300. So if you are looking to take a lot of pictures I highly recommend an extra battery!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Camera I myself am a Canon DSLR owner and this is the first time that I have purchased a Point and Shoot let alone a Nikon. I purchased this gift for my girlfriend but I have been using regularly instead of lugging around my DSLR. I find the camera is easy to use and takes fairly good shots in semi dark enviroments with great tones. This camera for the average person would be more than enough to get those great shots. The one thing I noticed is that the auto focus if left at its default will try to focus on the wrong I do with my camera I just set it to center focus on anything center of the frame.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy and convenient, not instantaneous This is a small, sleek camera, easy to use once you spend time learning the menus. I am accustomed to old 35mm SLR film cameras and the one thing I miss horribly is the instantaneous click. When I hit the trigger, the shutter releases. With these auto digital cameras, there is a delay and I often miss the moment I was aiming for. Perhaps I can turn off the auto features that prevent instantaneous release, but I need to explore the point and shoot more to learn what it's good at. For the money, this is an easy camera. But I think I may invest in a digital camera with a traditional viewfinder and more manual options next time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good camera for the price. I bought this product as a gift for a friend. She was in dire need of an upgrade but she isn't the most tech savvy person either. This camera was perfect for her. Simple to use and the orange color looked great. She loved it. I was able to play around with it a little bit before I wrapped it. Even being refurbished the camera looked new. It took decent pictures and the facial recognition worked pretty good. I did notice that it had a bit of a lag when moving it quickly and the shutter speed slowed down in low light areas. The zoom also was a bit slow to zoom in and out. Over all it was a good purchase. All accessories were included along with the manual and software.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Value Overall good value for the price. Like most P&S cameras it only offers 4:3 or 16:9 ratios. The standard 3:2 ratio of DSLR's match the standard 4X6 print size so you will want to crop your shots before printing. With so many pixels on a small sensor low light imaging leaves a lot to be desired. Fine for the usual daytime outdoor shots. Overall comparable to most other brands in this price range. It will come down to price and color preferences. Made in China.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty good! I had a Nikon CoolPix L18 but it broke after it was dropped so I decided to buy another Nikon because I was very pleased with camera. And again, I am delighted with this camera too. The pictures are generally great quality and the settings make it easy to take pictures. There are also many useful settings that are easy to use and help enhance the picture. A negative though is that it takes a long time for the camera to take the picture, then process it. Also the pictures don't turn out so clear sometimes. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with it and I would buy it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Camera! My main camera is a Nikon D60. I wanted a small camera that can just fit in my pocket when I don't want to carry around a SLR. It is a great camera loaded with options. So far the pictures have turned out great. Love the option of taking wide screen pictures. Great camera at a great price. My one recommendation is if you plan to take it on a trip and plan to take a lot of photos purchase the extra battery!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for casual photogs Purchased as a gift for my mother who in the past enjoyed trying out my digital cameras. In comparison to some of the other point and shoots, it shoots well in low light, does a good job of picking out autofocus points. Easy to navigate menus. The design is well done, slim and great for my mom who likes having it on the go. Good camera for folks looking in the price range.
