Sony DT 35mm f/1.8 SAM Overview

Get a "normal" perspective and shoot a variety of subjects with your APS-C format A-mount camera by picking up the DT 35mm f/1.8 SAM Lens from Sony, which provides a 52.5mm equivalent focal length. It offers a fast f/1.8 aperture for selective focus techniques and working in dim light. Also, it uses a Smooth Autofocus Motor (SAM) for fast, quiet focusing down to the minimum focus distance of 9". Additionally, it has a seven-blade circular diaphragm that ensures smooth bokeh.

Designed for APS-C format cameras, this 35mm lens will provide a normal 52.5mm equivalent focal length that is well suited to general photography.
A fast maximum aperture of f/1.8 allows users to work in less-than-ideal lighting conditions and create images with a shallow depth of field.
By incorporating a Smooth Autofocus Motor (SAM) unit into the lens itself to drive the focusing element group, this lens is able to deliver smoother, quieter, and faster performance than coupled systems. Also, it offers a minimum focus distance of 9".
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality when employing selective focus techniques.

question

Will this work on my konica Minolta 400si film camera?
Asked by: Jade F.
It most likely will. The lens has 8 pins and your camera has 5. Scroll on over to the used section and purchase a Minolta AF 50mm 1.7 lens that will match up 100% to the 400. While you are their gobble up some the other fine used Minolta AF lens offerings from B&H.

question

Will this lens work on a Sony A330?
Asked by: Marlon J.
My camera is an A77, but I think this would fit on all of the Alpha models. As an aside, I am very pleased with mine. Having a fixed, rather than a zoom takes a different approach, but the f/1.8 is just amazing.
