Wider Coverage & Full Zoom Thru

The EXII 0.7X Wide Converter provides 30% more angle of view over the stock lens and maintains full zoom-thru capability.

Highest Optical Standard

Cutting-edge optics reduce geometric (barrel) distortion and improve off-axis performance, particularly chromatic aberrations and flatness of field.

Filtering Solutions

For greater light control, the lens front is threaded to accept 67mm glass filters.

Shading Solutions

For a great shading solution, 16x9 Inc. offers an optional lightweight Rubber Lens Shade. For professional filter solutions, the EXII 0.7X neatly interfaces with Chrosziel mattebox systems.

question

Is this lens better than the Zunow WCX-80 0.8x Compact Wide Conversion Lens B&H # ZUWCX80 ? And, can I use it with an adapter ring on the Sony FDR-AX-100 with no cropping and even less edge distortion? Thank You
Asked by: David
At this time, for the the FDR-AX-100, we are recommending the Zunow WCX-80 0.8x Compact Wide Conversion Lens B&H # ZUWCX80. The 169-HDWC8X-82 EXII is made for a different, larger filter ring camera.

Will this lens work with the Canon KT17ex4.3B ...

Will this lens work with the Canon KT17ex4.3B IRSE S lens?
Asked by: Greg
The Canon KT17EX43BIRSE HD ENG Lens with 2x Extender (17x), B&H # CAKT17EX43BI, has an 82mm Filter thread. You will be able to attach this wide angle converter to it.

are there front threads? If so, what diameter?
Asked by: James H.
This Wide Angle Adapter does not have a front filter thread. You cannot add screw on filters to this adapter.

question

How would this work on say, a Nikon 18-200 zoom (assuming that might be the matching lens threads)?
Asked by: Anonymous
These adapters are meant for camcorders with much smaller sensors and corresponding lenses. I have never heard of these being used in such a configuration. That tells me that the combination does not work. I would imagine that the focus will not work and even if it did, the image quality would be poor at best and distorted at worst.

Hi, does this converter have threads on the front ...

Hi, does this converter have threads on the front to add a protective/UV filter? Thanks!
Asked by: Ron
We're afraid not. This lens does not have threads on the front to attach a screw on filter.

question

Would this work on a Sony 18-200 zoom? with a Sony a6300?
Asked by: Robert B.
Wide Angle Adapters like this are designed to work on camcorder lenses. They will not work properly on a Mirrorless Camera with an Interchangeable Lens System like the A6300 with an 18-200mm lens. If you need a wider angle I suggest B&H #SO10184 which is the Sony E 10-18mm f/4 OSS Lens.

question

Would this work (and possibly perform better than the Zunow - 80) on the new Sony PXW-Z90V ?
Asked by: David
The soon to be released PXW-Z90V will have a 62mm filter thread. To use this lens on it you will need a 62-72mm Step-Up Ring, B&H # GBSUR6272. Once you have that adapter this lens should work will with the Z90. However the Zunow WCX-80, B&H # ZUWCX80, includes the needed adapter for the Z90 and is a full zoom through lens as well. It is a good choice for B&H # SOPXWZ90V also.

question

Anyone know if this can be used with the DJI X5 camera? I'm concerned about the weight so any input is greatly appreciated. I want to use it with the DJI OSMO.
Asked by: James H.
You will not be able to use this Wide Angle Converter on the DJI X5 and Osmo. The Osmo relies on proper balance to work properly, it will not balance correctly if you screw a wide angle converter on to it.
