Kata LighTri-310 DL overview

  • 1Description

The Kata LighTri-310 DL Digital Torso-Pack (Black) is designed to carry and protect a digital bridge camera and accessories. It will also fit a Sony Handycam or similar size camcorder and accessories. It is made from light, durable ripstop nylon with TST (Thermo Shield Technology) rib structure that provides protective zones for the camera where it will most likely be impacted by shock, vibration and Aeriform foam padding. There is a small divider to customize the interior. The pack carries the camera in quick-draw position at all times and it can be carried either on the back or on the torso. The main compartment will hold a bridge camera in top grip position. Use the divider to create an accessory compartment alongside the main camera. A cell phone pocket is located on the side and provides easy access when on the go. There is a rain cover for protection in rough weather conditions. It is carried by an attached, adjustable shoulder strap with non-slip pad.

    Kata LighTri-310 DL reviews

    LighTri-310 DL Digital Torso-Pack is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, Light, and Easy to Carry This camera bag is perfect for holding my Nikon P500 when I do not feel like carrying my big DSLR. Do not expect this bag to hold much per its design. It holds the camera, and perhaps a small flash or your phone. There is a small side pocket for some change/bills or for an extra small battery. Ample padding which adds to the lightness of the bag but I would not say that it is well padded. The shoulder strap is comfortable and light as well and is durable for non-physical activities such as sightseeing. Keep in mind that this bag was designed to be light and small. Do not expect it to be ultra durable and/or hold more gear than it was designed for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and lightweight I use this as a minimalist torso pack for my NEX-7. With the kit 18-55mm lens, the camera fits nicely in the front of the pack and there's enough room for a small flash (Sony HVL-20AM), a spare battery, a remote, and a second small lens. Despite being lightweight, it offers pretty good protection. Also, the shoulder strap is quite comfortable and cool. I'll definitely get a lot of use out of this since it's easy to pack and carries just enough for a day outing with family and/or friends. All-in-all a nice little camera bag.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice concept, but needs some refinement I really like the way this bag hangs on the body. Because of the way the straps attach and shape of the bag, it hugs your torso well and does not protrude very far. It does not swing around when you walk or swing out from your body when you bend over. It also works well under a backpack when hiking. However there are two things that keep it from being useful for me. The first is the divider, it attaches by velcro and only a portion of the interior mates with it. Consequently, you can't move it very far and my FZ200 is a tight fit in the bag. Secondly, it's got a dual zipper on top and no secondary velcro flap, so quick access is impossible. So whenever you want to take the camera out to take a picture, you have to undo both zippers, or one zipper all the way around.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good... Bought this to carry my Lumix FZ200. It's the perfect size and the moveable divider has just enough Velcro to create a small space for extra batteries and a very small tripod. But... The rain cover. The rain cover is not attached in anyway and trying to figure out what the small clip is for left me scratching my head. It doesn't line up with any of the equally baffling small loops on the exterior of the bag. And where am I supposed to store it? There's a small pocket on the bag that, in the picture, shows storage for a filter. I guess that's where I'll put the rain cover thus making that pocket useless for anything else. As mentioned, there ar small loops at various places on the exterior of the bag. What for? They don't seem to serve any purpose and Kata makes no mention of what they think you'll use them for. And, the zipper. It's got two zipper pulls so you can open the bag completely but they're not connected so you still have to unzip each separately. Might as well just have one zipper pull that does the whole job. All that said, the strap and the carrying position are excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for Minimalist. I carry my OMD-em5 with either 75mm attached or 17MM attached and there is room to store which ever lens is not attached. There is a wonderful balance and I find it perfect for riding a scooter or bicycle. I plan to buy another and house a OMD-em1 with a 12-40MM lens. To carry such versatility of lenses with so little weight is a dream come true. All bags involve trade offs and this bag or the pair offer me what I need, a very light carrying bag. I formerly carried the Kata 16 sling with one or two DSLRs and that was functional but a little much for my body. I do find the minature storage compartment has a tendency to open by itself and I have dropped a battery without knowing it was open. The rain coat is small and does not cover the whole bag but I am willing to live with that as I have come to enjoy minalism and the joy of not being chiropractor dependent. One more star if pocket opening is solved and if another pocket was added. I would also like more flexibility in the way the divider moves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from small, handy - exactly what I needed Perfect for a small camera with a couple of lenses (Sony nex 5). Super light, quick to access when you want to change lenses. The opening is good when you want to access your stuff, but you have to be carefull because it can let things drop if you don't pay attention.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not to big if you have a d7000 or bigger this bag is too small for you. because of the design the zipper always gets stuck at the curb part. the strap feels like its gonna break but it will hold

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Pack So far pretty happy with this pack. With some creativity it fits my Canon Mirrorless, 300mm zoom lens, 40mm prime and some lens caps. Comfy strap.
