The Sony NIPROS/S26 Multi Core Studio System is a video processing kit that is used to adapt the Sony handheld HVR/NXR and PMW-EX1/1R/3 camcorders for use in HD studio production environments. It includes the NIPROS DS-560 Base Station, the DS-260 Camera Interface, the LVM-89W 8.9" Color LCD Widescreen Return Video Monitor, and 2 intercom headsets.
Offering connectivity between the camcorder and the DS-560 CCZ multicore base station, the DS-260 camera interface unit supports HD/SD SDI and HD Y video formats (automatic input detection) for display on a HD SDI monitor. In addition, it also supports RET video with HD SDI embedded audio input for display on the LVM-89W Viewfinder. A LANC connection is used to connect the camcorder to the camera adaptor. In addition, the DS-260 Camera Adaptor also includes connections like a Tally out, Aux, Monitor output (composite with power) to LVM-89W, 8-pin remote connector, external audio output, analog audio input, T/C output, intercom headset jacks, and a CCZ 26-pin cable connector.
The NIPROS DS-560 CCZ Multicore Base Station features HD/SD component output, composite or HD-Y video output, HD/SD SDI input / Return input with auto-detection of HD/SD signals, Ret video input, Tally in-out, and Aux (selectable from video input or T/C output). A LANC connection is used to link the base station to the RM-1000BP camera remote controller (not included). It also includes two 2-wire and two 4-wire intercom system jacks on the back panel and an intercom system jacks on the front panel. Other connections include an 8-pin remote connector, external audio input, analog audio output (XLR male 3-pin), T/C input, and a CCZ 26-pin cable connector.
Equipped with an 8.9” view area (measured diagonally), the LVM-89W large return monitor/viewfinder offers support for resolutions up to 1024(H) x 600(V) x 3(RGB) effective pixel values. The viewfinder has a VBS (composite, BNC) input, 3 HD (component, BNC) inputs, and 1 HDMI video input, 1 female monitor I/f mini 6-pin, and a tally input with BNC connector. It has a VBS (composite) format output via BNC connector and requires a 12VDC power supply.
