Cullmann CB2.7 reviews

CB2.7 Mini Ballhead is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best inexpensive ballhead This is by far the best ballhead for small desktop or travel tripods. It's very heavy-duty, with beautifully machined and anodized metal parts and a rubberized locking screwhead. The diameter of the ballhead is perfect for the small tripods you might toss in a bag. The camera attachment can be reversed if you need to use a remote flash unit on a tripod. This ballhead is also sold together with the small Magnesit Helicopter tripod, and is better than ANY other small competing unit, including the Giottos ballheads for small tripods. The picture of the unit has one flaw - none of these have a knurled tripod mounting wheel (it is has flat sides).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I'm Striking Out! This is my second Cullmann Ballhead. The first being the MB Magnesit 8.5 that was advertised as being supplied with a clamp compatible with Arca-Swiss type QR plates. It does not and will not accept that type of quick release plate...Period! I had to buy a replacement clamp from Hejnar Photo to make my Magnesit 8.5 usable with all my Acra-Swiss style camera and lens plates. Now for starters, the Cullmann CB 2.7 is shown in photos with the wording Made in Germany yet the package it is wrapped and shipped in states that this CB 2.7 is MADE IN CHINA! False advertising! Secondly I found the threaded stud to protrude proud of the spin-on coldshoe and subsequently touches the contact pins on the bottom of the Cannon 600EX-RT Speedlites. After a trip to the bench grinder and some thread dressing with a die, it's only now, good to go. I so wanted to 4 or 5 star this mini ballhead but considering what I paid for this Chinese BMW and the needed alterations...1 Star!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine Little Ball Head for the Price I'm using this ball head on a GorillaPod Focus. It's a good size little ball head for that application. I've only had it a week or so. It supports a Nikon D80 with a Tamron 18-270 Zoom pretty good. It will support a Speedlight very well. It has that cold shoe feature which is convenient. I like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little ballhead After getting a little Midi slave flash I wanted a small ball head for mounting it. A B & H newsletter featured this little Cullman head for what seemed to be a good price. It works great with the little Midi slave. I was disappointed that I could not mount my Canon flash in the shoe on the head, but by putting the foot on the flash and then mounting it, it works just fine. Therefore I gave the head five stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic small head Really, this is a very well built small head. I use it for my gopros or to put my led lights on stands when I do video interviews with small equipment. This is rock solid.
